Better last night.  Started with 99% / 109 miles and 103 miles later of mostly motorway using cc and green mode I had 18% and 19 miles showing.      Just a pity the one Rapid near is broken so later on going to sit the car on the one 11 kW AC in town and get the £5 minimum charge that has to be paid.  16 kW.  About 90 minutes.  Or if it is off then onto a 7 kW and still take a min 16 kW.   Then before heading away in a day or 3 I will again need to charge to 100% and get value by at least taking 16 kW.     Just a crazy decision from South Ayrshire council.    Anyone with a PHEV or BEV needing just say 13kWh or less is paying a stupid amount.  And instead of freeing up chargers people are plugging in when nearer empty to get what they are having to pay for.   CCS is off. CPS says someone was out on 24th and repaired. A wire to the Emergency cut off was broken.  So a ticket has been raised again.  Seemingly I am only one to report it down.   As Tom Jones sang. Not unusual.  25°C...is.

Same same old.  3 new chargers playing up.  The people on them had to call CPS to get chargers reset.  They had tapped card or used app and charging started then cut out. Min £2 charge each time.  The one started for me twice but viy out twice so the is 2 x £2 I will dispute .   59 pence a kWh.  I should have put in £2 worth and got to Tesla Supercharger Perth for non Tesla and cheaper but that might be a very busy place so charged enough for getting home and maybe any diversion.

The long and short of it.  Love the Audi on its look.

The MINI is near a year since first registered, but it is not a year since i got it yet.

Faultless and i am keeping it beyond 3 years probably unless it goes back and i buy a used one with all this one has and it is going to cost me a lot less.

The new MINI E & SE are really not my cup of tea.  This model is exactly to my liking & comfortable.

Everything falls to hand and works. Other than the crap Sat Nav..

Getting 4.6 miles a kWh.

Started out showing 100% and 110 miles.

Would do 133 miles + today with easy driving up hill and down glens.

Tesla supercharger is the cheapest rapids in Aberdeen I can use.  41 pence a kWh.   No messing about.  Plenty others chargers near now but some double the price.   Porsche Charing might be less with a Porsche just down the road.   Edit, 58 miles driven and cost me £6.20 to be back to 100%

Try to go on the very end (last photo) or along side another car charging with charge port on the right side. This way you are not using up 2 charging spaces.

Why does the charger on the right not reach @Ootohere 's car if they both charge. Assuming it can reach the Tesla when charge port on the otherside? are the cables different lengths?

Those V3 charge stalls have short cable, designed before Tesla opened up the network. They reach Tesla vehicle perfectly on the left side. The mini charge port is not back enough so he had to go over the ramp.

Vehicles with charge port on the right side would effectively take up 2 charging spaces. For example in the last photo there is a blue Tesla charging next to the mini. The charging stall visible in the middle is effectively blocked and the charging stall used by the mini was meant to be used by the empty space other side of mini.

Hence try to bunch up with other cars so in total only waste 1 space. Or go on the end if possible.

Would make more sense to have the charger sited on the centre line of both spaces capable of reaching either side of the car. i know it took petrol stations about 100 years to think of that, but the precedent could have been followed.

Edit Didn't realise they only did one car i thought each pod had two charge cables. I see what you mean now

Edited by Stonekeeper

Even at other charge networks with multiple cables, they sometimes support 2 cars most of the time only support one car. I think only Gridserve supports 2 cars.

Newer V4 and all other charge networks would have long enough cable to reach charge ports at any location when parked in intended charging bay. This is a uniquely Tesla V3/V2 charge point problem due to they were designed before Tesla decided to open up the network.

For example, V4 Tesla superchargers with good mix of brands:

The thing is i take what is available when i arrive and am not there long, if TESLA came in needing a charge and no charger available i would move.

Even though i have had years of barstewards hogging chargers or bays in a Tesla, locked in and not charging on other charger types,  they could have just charged slower on an AC and that there are usually a few of.

But many do the same in any type of car.  Jaguar drivers i find to be the worst for this.

The most desperate times i have had twice at chargers not working and no alternative were sorted by Tesla drivers stopping charging sooner than planned to let me get a charge.

We should always remember a pay back...

Dunblane instead of Stirling park and ride to get the toilet and turns out a 9am opening Sunday. Charger started ok for me, says 40 mins max. It is 50 and I need all that.   Then an Enyaq turns up and needs charged and onto Glasgow and charger will not release.  Just the usual. I might be ok with charging speed and getting to 100% as I have 100 miles until charging again.

Tonight on the DVLA website my car shows as having an outstanding Recall.    I will not be contacting my dealer to check.  It is a RECALL meaning it is the DVLA making sure the Manufacturers / Importers have the registered keepers contact details.    The Battery Recall.  (Not the brakes.)

I received a message on the car and on the MINI and a voice mail all telling me I will be receiving a call from the dealership I have as my preferred one and asap so no need to contact them. Unless I have any immediate concern.

That was an  interesting call I received.  My car booked in next Thursday. Courtesy car arranged to collect Wednesday.   The thing is she told me the recall is not the Battery and water ingress issue. She has not heard of that.  It is not a Brake issue, anything to do with cars being held back from delivery, new or already on the road used cars.  It is a BCM recoding and the car needed in for the day.     We will see then if a simple case of into their workshop. Technician does their stuff, a matter of minutes or maybe as long as the update takes.   Or anything like my Corsa Electric was when with Arnold Clark and not enough band width in the workshop on a working week day and needing the job done on a Sunday.    Ps yes they can do a wash and interior valet I will empty my crap. They can do an inspection video on condition.     The RAC never picked up on the Motability car having Contact Dealer messages because I have no TPMS sensors on the wheels.

Best get it done before the wet/snowy season starts.

I have not done much wading in deeper water since the first time I went very deep and there was a loss of dashboard info for a few miles.  I have been through fords that are not very  deep several times and done hundreds of miles in torrential rain.  I do hope the car is needing kept a few days and not just 1 and I get an interesting MINI courtesy car and not just the same as I have. If with me more than a day it will be going on a road trip.
