Local Authorities and Government Agencies world wide and shippers should know all about this.

So it is what they do as far as legislation and enforcement.

As far as media reports in this instant new era, there seems to not be that many incidents of this type.  Yet!

  • Maybe it was transporting EV batteries.........................................   And gas cylinders, and jerrycans of petrol, and signal flares, and kindling, and wire wool..............😀

  • How can the car be in any shape or form remotely related to EV?    How can you even drag in EV in any shape or form when it clearly is an ICE related fire.    You say you are not b

  • Guilty as charged, the rambles down memory lane in the bus garage or a 60 year detailed curriculum vitae do make me skip paragraphs in the hope of finding something of relevance.

Yet, is the operative word, as BEV gain ground then these type of events could and will become far more common. You could be sitting in your car alongside one of these containers, just as we all do on many occasions in traffic, when the contents could decide that they are going to explode, sending shrapnel in all directions.

A lot of people around the world in offices or working from home are being paid to be involved in these matters.  Highly educated and trained or even Muppets.  We are where we are.      Stay home, and stay safe. Do not use chip pans or smoke and fall asleep.

I wonder just how long it will be until BEV,s are banned from travelling on the 'Green Car Ferries' or not so Green Ferries in Scotland.

The so-called green ferry as it turns out is not green after all then. Now when you consider the amount of Methane being produced by us humans and animals alike plus all the rotting vegetation and also from landfill sites, and that it is 28 times more potent than CO2, which plants do actually thrive on and they also digest it and give us back pure Oxygen, it makes me wonder yet again if we are being sold this net-zero for other reasons after all, and no, I'm wearing a hat made out of tin foil, just like I always said, I don't take everything the authorities tell us as being 100% gospel truth.

For instance, the heavy use of fertilizers on soil actually has a harmful effect on the soils ability to act as a Methane sink thus ensuring a higher level of Methane in the atmosphere and so it is claimed in the ferry article that Methane has 28 times the global warming effect and thus 28 times the climate change effect as well, so it could well be that the CO2 emissions from ICE and other forms of fossil fuel being used for all kinds of energy demands is NOT the smoking gun that we have been told it is after all then, who knew that?

This actual fire was on 27th Nov 2924 and was blamed on a diesel heater and although, I had my doubts I went with what was the official verdict.

However, upon further investigation, that verdict has since revised and it seems that my doubts were correct all along.

H&S, They need to look at passenger numbers, seating & having Seat Belts on School busses.

Yeah, 3 to a seat is a bit too much and this from a country where they have to have such huge bumpers on their cars too.

Fenders! One reason is that some Americans park by waiting until their fenders touch the vehicle in front or behind!

SPOILER ALERT> .   Has not happened, nobody banned him from a ferry, but if he phones up his insurance maybe they will.   Not safe to be out in the community on his own.

60,000 miles and a 100 kWh charge taking 2 hours max (if he stayed off 50 kW chargers and getting 200 miles per charge would or could be 300 hours of charging.    (The car should be getting 250 miles from a Full Charge.)

That could be a lot less if the Ultra Rapid chargers he could use were used.

But he is working at lots of these charges as a Youtuber.  Semi retired, might as well catch up on his Social Media commitments.

The odd thing here is that the cars in Dundee were set on fire,  no question about that (apparently, common in Dundee) but that fire was Sept 19th 2024?

Yeah, the one you posted was about the same incident, but was the arsonist who was I guess arrested in Oct 2024 and charged with the fire and a further 4 crimes.

Friarton Bridge across the Tay on the Edinburgh - Dundee M90 was closed from just after 3 am because of yet another fire underneath or nearly underneath.  Recycling Centre fire.

There will be media coverage later, hopefully nobody killed or injured this time.

Another electric school bus goes up in flames, no injuries reported.

Just stumbled on this video and this does look encouraging, early days still yet though, but it seems to be a step in the right direction.

I notice at the end of the video that the car is sitting in a water tank, something that is not going to be readily available at a fire location normally, nor will a crane with which to lift the smouldering wreck and drop into the tank.

And even more devastation at a battery storage facility for the grid. Incident was Jan 16th 2025 in California, over 2,000 residents had to be evacuated and roads shut down.

Tens of thousands dead in countries where the big nations want the control of  oil, gas, minerals and resources that countries have.      As it is the Nations / countries that are building batteries and other products have to take responsibility if there are industrial accidents.     Like Nuclear disasters, like Refineries leaking or polluting, like train crashes were oil or gas explosions happen.       Floods from burst dams, or just floods.  Fired because of weather or lack of controlled burning etc.      What a world we live in.   Maybe even trampled by horses once we get back to using them for deliveries, or the evolution and electric milk carts.

Simple @Graham Butcher production plant or recycle plant fires in the scheme of things small fry.   Firing missiles or killing with drones and everyday happening around the world.      People die.
