You would not miss the weather we are having at the moment. An air-conditioned car in this part of the world is a necessity' date=' NOT an luxury.

Do Briskodans think that having air conditioning in the UK is cool or do they think it is a silly waste of money, power and fuel?[/quote']

Would never have a car without it again. Even in the winter it helps to clear condensation :)

I have recentely got rid of a cabriolet to make room for my vrs and have had the aircon on virtually every journey for the last couple of weeks. In fact I would go as far to say that the next cabrio I get will have aircon aswell as the roof down

A major necessity if you have been parked up all day at the beach

:wrthless:

Welcome to BRISKODA E-E's mom!!!

See Mum, Air Conditioning is very important in cars.

Vlad of course has not got AirCon, but it does have those little air vents things that blast luke warm air at you whatever you set the temperature.

Also sometimes they flick little bits of leaves at you. I am not sure why the engine bay is full of leaves, but there you go.

And by the way, don't prattle on about saving the enviroment by not using AirCon when you drive a 4 litre jeep!

Is it a 4.0 Wrangler ? They're good fun  The Cherokee isnt though!

It is a Cherokee I am afraid.

Due to the natures of time diffrence she is going to be asleep for the next few hours.

Hi everyone. I just got up. It is only 4:30 at the moment here but I am jet lagged.

On the subject of embarrassing Emily pics, I promise that I will post some (yes, even with nappies) next week but my photos are not with me at the moment because they are being shipped over here. It takes several weeks. My Dad (Emily's Grandad) has some but he is in San Francisco. I will pick some up next week when I visit him. By then I may have worked out how to put an image in a message.

On the subject of air conditioning, do modern air conditioners not reduce the performance of a car? I remember overhearing a guy challenging another to race once. The challenger's car had an inferior engine but he thought he could win if the other guy had his air conditioning on. Maybe it was just wishful thinking. The guy with the better car did not bother to take up the challenge.

Morning Mum.

:D There are a few on here that have family members on here too but won't admit to it ;)

I think it's much more fun guessing who is related to who :D

Chris

And who'd like to have relations with who

And who has had relations with who

Oh and I did abide by your wishes and not ask if she was cute

I did however state that she is cute

And who has had "relations" with what ;)

Don't give her any encouragement. I was talking to her on Skype chat and she said:

Tavia RS sounds nice

I think she has gone away to do some of her boffin university realted work. She might try to bore us all with it later, or create a survey to discover our inner most feelings (She is a psychologist)

or create a survey to discover our inner most feelings (She is a psychologist)

Lets hope she cant work out how to create a poll ;)

I guess none of you car-boffins knows whether or not running the air con reduces the performance of a car....

Talk to the hand, and take it to the the maintance and performance forum.

It reduces the performance of the car less than opening the windows :D

yes but you are not likely to be opening and closing the windows when racing. It is a good idea to turn off the air con as well?

Hello Emily's Mom.

I have fathered children since joining this site. Then again so have Chris,Lummox and many others.Keeps the membership up:) .

Don't know about air con though

Folding in mirrors and sticking tape over panel gaps could help too.

Anyway, how did this get onto air-con............. or is it a cunning ploy to keep the thread going so you dont forget the baby photos ?

Hannah and I are still practicing for the children part ;)

If you're hot you open the windows creating more drag (sapping more power than the air con). If you can live with being hot while you're racing then switch the air con off. :P
