Completely agree, but what happens when you need to get your Xiaomi SU7 serviced :(

Presumably like many of the 'newer' brands they'll come to you or do a pick up and drop off.

I suppose in time they will become like BYD and the others. They will all seriously undercut the UK market.

The only drawback to all of them is the longevity (with regards to servicing too), but then again is that really any different to BMW or any of the more established brands now?

The politics will kick in before that with tariffs etc, it'll just mean higher forecourt prices, the established brands will put up their prices as well.
I think for me cars will be the equivalent of a washing machine, I'll buy (probably lease) the cheapest thing that does the job. If they all look cheap and nasty why pay a premium?
We'll inevitably get an electric but it'll be nothing special as I will no longer care. If it autodrives so much the better.
I'll get a classic for the garage as something to enjoy.

Fun (?) fact...

Blimey... That's bad... I quite like the look of them too but if that's reality it's pretty off-putting

Maybe it's just me... 🤣

I don't know how much they're sharing tech with Kia (I know if used to be a lot), but a mate of mine's got a Sportage that's on it's 3rd engine. 7 year warranty though, so she's not bothered

My mates tuscon sat for 9 months last year waiting on delivery of an oil pump and a blown turbo, he got shut as soon as it was repaired.

warrantyor not id be getting fair sick of not having my vehicle because the engine keeps eating itself..

one of my main contractor reps in work had a hybrid kia thing for about 5months. it spent more time in the dealers than at work. his company insisted on a replacement vehicle after the 5th trip and went back to a diesel for him, which also had gearbox issues...

Apparently there lawsuits across aus and USA at kia for putting out known oil starvation issues with their diesels

Your gonna have to tell me more now... My sister's been looking at Tucson self charging hybrids to replace her old Kuga...

Certain models between 2010 to 2020 my mates was a 2016 1.7 diesel tuscon .

Last time it had an engine put in, the only thing they'd got to lend her was a Stinger GT. That and she's got a habit of picking up a courtesy car with a full tank of fuel and taking it back on less than fumes 🤣

I wonder where designers get all their ideas from...

CoPilot draw me a childish picture of a car....

10min with a free AI and I am a car designer

Admittedly it refuses to include a banana for scale

After much arguing, I got the banana in.
It was fixated on having a banana next to a 1960a Lotus or GT40 but after a few prods got this...

With this I humbly suggest I'm better at designing cars than most manufactrers. I'd rather buy this one.

It's AI design, there you go keep prodding and eventually you get the same thing -

Can you design a large tub of custard to go with that bannana 😁

Im slightly more concerned about the lad that appears to have been Philadelphia-project'ed into the wall of the building.. it appears the AI has been partially trained on Conspiracy theories 🤣🤣

this one looks like those car-icatures that were popular back in the early 00s. (ya know the ones that gave civics huge wheels, and tiny windscreens, but massive spoilers and bonnets scoops )
