Have you updated to 1969?

 

Have you had any issues with it?

 

Are there any benefits or downsides to it?

 

I'd be interested to know as I have the software (not in a hurry to do the upgrade), but expect it will drop in of its own accord soon anyway.

Took ~20 mins from SD card in the car, all seems to be still working correctly, can't say I noticed any difference other than SW version number went from 1941 to 1969.

 

Did make me nervous as dire warnings about not turning off the car while upgrade in process, but not sure if mine (an iV) would time out and go sleepy byes thus bricking everything, or stay awake. As it turned out, it stayed on and did the upgrade no issues.

 

My random coolant low and electronic brum brum sound errors are probably coincidental, but no way to tell now!

Same here. No discernable difference from 1941 to 1969. Don’t bother

My update was just like the others. Although, I've noticed that my system is noticeably faster boosting from cold. The animations and transitions are also more fluid than 1941. In saying that, my car is without an OCU, so it's not having to process online functions in the background.

I updated through the files provided in this forum. I did it via usb and everything went smooth. All was completed in 15 minutes and ran fine. TBH, I never had an issue with 1941. But just wanted to have the latest and greatest. So all good. 

I did it. Haven't noticed any difference in speed on mine. If anything it's slower to boot and load android auto than 1941.

 

Also had the mode button stop working once and it still regularly crashes on cold start making weird noise from speakers

I would like to update to 1969 as well. Where and how do I do that.  Can someone link me or point me to where I need to go please.

I was temporatiky blocked from the site as I tried responding. I think it was my VPN turned it off and was OK. I received this message. All good now.

Been out in the car today in 22c heat. Car decided to dial recovery after sitting in the heat for a bit, when I tried starting it. Don't think that is a software issue. 

 

But god knows what they have done with sound in 1969. The bass is none existent. I thought it was almost ok in 1961. With it set at +3. But 1969 got it all way up at +9 and it's nowhere near what it was.

 

Radio and media sound bad. Having to use android auto with Poweramp equaliser set for high bass to get it to sound normal

You will get blocked by Briskoda.net if you use a VPN, you only gain it if your PC/phone or tablet is unprotected, which is a bit of a pain. But hey ho.

Why would you get blocked for connecting via a VPN?

 

I’m writing this reply while connected to my VPN service via a server in the USA. 

I used to have ExpressVPN installed on my devices and all I'd get was the aforementioned image or shown below, even if it was set to UK. I don't know why and I couldn't access it unless my VPN was disabled.

I use NordVPN and no issues connecting to Brisky with it on phone or PC.

I'm connected at the moment via Norton's VPN and it allows me in.

Same here using SurfShark - worst case (e.g. bbc.com) is to add as a 'bypassed' site.
