Are there any other female Skoda Superb Mk2 owners on here?  I bought my lovely 2012 Superb Elegance 1. 8 tdi 160hp 4x4 hatchback less than a month ago. It is the best car I have ever owned, I've  always bought bangers and ran them until they were scrapped previously. It is the first car I have truly cared about and I am keen to make it mine and give it some character. I needed a big car as I have a giant son who struggles to fit comfortably in most cars, but Mirabelle needs feminising, so I'm keen to hear from other female Superb owners who may have some ideas to share. (Or men who are in touch with their femanin side)!

The interior is all black leather and chrome effect, very masculine.

So far I have bought new mats, some rhinestone vent decorations, 2 little chrome looking bunnies for the dashboard, rhinestone coasters, and a blingy phone holder. I've updated the satnav on the Rns510 to the latest available map, added black lock covers, a boot edge protector and some stick on covers to make the black plastic around the windows look shinier.

Listing it all here does sound a bit naff, but actually it looks nicer inside. I'm trying to make it tasteful and not tacky, so not interests in fluffy pink steering wheel covers etc but still looking for things to add to make it a bit more girly

I will post some photos tomorrow, but would love to hear from you to make a newbie girl feel welcome ❤️

Thanks Zea

Maybe floor mats in a contrasting colour? I'm not sure what else you could change easily in the interior, perhaps some vinyl film on the smooth plastic surfaces (I don't think it'd work well on the textured plastics).

A word of caution since you mentioned sticking things on (apologies if you're already aware if this) - don't stick anything on or near the airbag covers as it will become a projectile if the airbag fires. Aside from the front two, you have one at knee level on the driver's side, one in the side of each front seat, and the curtain airbag running down the roof on each side from the A pillar to the C pillar.

Also be careful running wires along the headlining at the top of the A pillar (common practice for dashcam installs) as you could end up with the cable crossing the curtain airbag.

Good luck with the car 🙂

Have you seen them leather style floor covers? Covers the whole floor and carpets, also the boot area.

Thanks @chimaera - yes I have been very careful where I am placing things, but very useful to have a list of where all the airbags are located 👍so thank you. Yes I bought the black mats that fit the car, but do think I may have rushed into that.

As @Blue8793841 suggests, (hi Blue), yes I have seen the leather look floor covers you mention, which I do like, I will have to consider whether I invest in them and I would be interested if anyone on here has got these and if they are pleased with the fit, and how they fair with dirt etc. Screenshot_20240606_191013_eBay.thumb.jpg.818d21df3045d8c0637f2424bb580d37.jpg

I would suggest you remove whatever you stuck to the chrome strip on the steering wheel because that is one of the airbag covers and you'll get a facefull of whatever it is if that airbag goes off.

Thanks, I did consider that, but thought wherever the crome strip goes the thing stuck on it will go, and surely the chrome strip wouldn't end up in my face? Please tell me if I'm wrong though 😳

That cover is a rubbery plastic which will flex and stretch if the airbag fires. This stretching will likely cause the bits you stuck to it to pop off and fly into your face. The chrome strip that's part of the cover is engineered to stay in place on the cover so there is no risk there.

The basic rule is never stick anything to an airbag cover, or run any cables across one.
