New Octavia - Strange virtual cockpit

Featured Replies

Hi friends

I bought a new Octavia that came off the dealership 3 days ago, but the cockpit is very simple as you can see in the image. I've watched several videos on YouTube and I can't find anything like it. Is it possible to change it?

Usually scroll through the different cockpit views using the steering wheel left-hand control - Left and Right direction arrows (possibly steering wheel right-hand controls in other territories?).

Looks like FL car. On the right site of the steering wheel (may be different side in UK and AUS) use arrows to the left to change layout of speedometer and tacho, to the right to go through different modes of background (navigation, lane assist, etc), and scroll to select different options of what is shown in the middle, like changing between consumption values or similar.

On the left scroll, I can only increase and decrease the sound. On the right scroll, I can only change the consumption, between long, from departure, or from refueling. On the side buttons below the right scroll, I just change between 1 pressure gauge with rotations, or with speed, or without anything. I can't put two pressure gauges side by side as I see on forums and videos

Then idk. I had FL car as a rental for a week, it had way more options to select from. Maybe depends on configuration of the car or the market. Better to ask dealer.

I had a hire VW not that long ago with minimal dash items. You could only change by buying more via store. Maybe they are charging for different displays in FL model now

Can you post a picture of what exactly you mean? A picture of a youtube video?

The different speedo layout is changed with these two buttons.

This is indeed strange. 🤔

where is the engine temperature and fuel level? 😶Are there no white LEDs on the FL anymore?

Exactly like the VW I drove. They seem to of moved away from having 2 dials on display. Can you still see the Nav Map on there too?

No navigation option in this car

I'm not sure if it's different for lower specced Octavia FLs but I don't have an option to display a single dial in the middle of my virtual cockpit.

I made a post on the different screen options in the virtual cockpit / instrument cluster some time ago (see below).

I do have the white temp and fuel level leds in my car.
