2014 skoda octavia mk3 compass in dashboard frozen

Featured Replies

Hello,

I recently bought a 2014 Skoda Octavia and I swapped out the standard smaller head unit with a touchscreen for a android head unit.

After doing this everything works fine apart from the compass within the maxidot cluster.

It seems to be stuck on NE and I tried looking everywhere but couldn't find a topic about this issues, so I'm sorry if this has already been talked about.

My question is, is there any way to get this compass to function like normal or is it a lost cause.

TYA.

I think you probably answered your own question.

The MIB system is more than just a nice looking radio - it controls a load of other functions.

What you need is an upgrade on your MIB1 system to an MIB2 system. The Android Auto head units are fine, but they mean you cannot access a whole load of car functions now.

Please speak with @pab567 who can tell you the process for getting a proper MIB2 system for your car.

Thankyou, I'll have a look into it
