No driving modes

Featured Replies

Is the normal situation that there is no selector for driving modes on octacia 2025 FL in the menu?

Not sure what you mean. There is a mode physical button (second from left) and numerous ways to activate from the centre screen

Hello

My car (Octavia mk4 2024 2.0 TDI) doesn't have it that option or button

Are these manual cars without the mode selector?

@Simon7777 Is your car one sold in the UK?

Basically 'Are you in the UK?'

In my case.. no.. I have a DSG gearbox

And in Ecuador I see. This kind of thing matters if discussion models and ages of models. Different countries can get different features with same models of cars.

I still don't really understand the question. As far as I know there is always a mode button below the centre display and you can also have the modes permanently on display in a panel on that display at least in the 4.5

Admittedly my car is pre-FL but it does not have any drive mode button. I think its inclusion depends on the market and equipment level.

If you look at any video on YouTube of the mark 4 they all have the button. I’d be surprised if they’d go to the trouble of deleting it, it would be more trouble than it’s worth. Show us a picture of your centre area where the buttons below the screen are.

Not all come with a mode button. Mine doesn't. :) There's the trouble of deleting it, but there's also the trouble of installing one. :D

It would be nice if there's a chance of having the driving modes in the menu anyway - I think @East_Yorkshire_Retrofits has a solution for it - IIRC, they offer them in the SWAP codes list...

So you are saying you have a Mark 4 RS with no Mode button?

Noo - not an RS. 1.5 TSI

maybe it isn't an RS

The OP doesn't say anything about having an RS.

True my bad. Although why would he expect something that he doesn't have?

Hi all,

I recently purchased a Skoda Octavia 1.5 mHEV 150 hp but I did not select the button to change driving modes when purchasing, in this regard I am asking if I still have the ability to change the driving mode from the menu or if I do not have this option at all? Thanks!

Welcome.

A car in another country, Romania.

But i had to look at the profile to see that.

Based on my (UK, pre-facelift mk4) experience, if the car does not have the drive modes button, then neither is it in the menus.

Only the mid and high specification models have drive mode selection so SE-L (and SE-L First Edition), vRS; maybe SE Technology do; SE and SE First Edition did not.

Thanks for the details @SteveTheElder, I have the Selection spec.

Is it possible to activate the menu choices using OBD?

Alas I have no idea, sorry.

Having said that, I’d be surprised if it can’t be done.
