My Skoda Octavia Mk2 Estate will not unlock any doors using Key phob or Key in the door !

I assume you mean opening the bonnet lever rather than the one in the car. Just put it in neutral and push it back a bit. Get the builders to help if there still there.

The bonnet release is on the right of the accelerator pedal . I will try and drop my self in from the roof as the door is only open about a foot due to the fence stopping it opening fully..

i will take my phone with me incase I cant get back out . Tried opening the rear passenger door to from the inside handle but it doesnt open . If there was another barrel lock available it would be easier to open the passenger side may be but I have a feeling there isnt one and releasing the plastic cap could damage the handle so I have put that on the back burner for now

Actually the neutral gear is a good shout. I can then push the car away from fence .. Good plan will try that first. The bonnet release catch inside the car has to be opened first before the lever on the bonnet can be operated to access the battery etc

Better than getting stuck in the sunroof.

Thats worked .!! took it out of gear and pushed it enough to open door . Will Charge battery imediately if not too late ! Thanks again team. Hopefully the end of this saga !!

oh my good man, its not the end...

the battery should survive after a charge, worst case scenario is a new battery.

but.. your other issues remain - youre going to need to into the wires and start looking for damage

oh yes when the weather improves I was going to look into addressing the window wind down issues. At the moment it seems that the battery is charging and it may take a day to get back to full strength. Hopefully the doors will then open using the fob. The tail plate flashing lights were down to me leaving the side lights on .. will test that lights on reminder works , as it used to.

Its been a good work horse this car and hardly any issues even though its 15 years old. I have been a careful owner .. but the window probs are my next priority!

tried also entering the key in the driver side door and turning anticlockwise

My Octy sold ow so it's a long time since I used to start my Octavia mk2 estate engine (on the driveway) and lock the car with the spare key in the door, to let engine warm a little, but iirc anticlockwise locks it, does it not???

On inserting key in drivers door, this will be a mechanical action lock / unlock rather than electrical .... (on just the drivers door with single twist of the key)

It would take a double twist of the key to activate the central locking iirc.

Bonnet pull is in the driver's footwell on both pre and post FL.

Caution; ensure the pull is straight back/up from the footwell as pulling to the side may leave you with a piece of plastic in your paw and no bonnet release!

Thanks again all Battery was completely dead , it did look like it was charging but in the end it gave up and charger shows a blinking red light. Will start on ordering a replacement battery now.

Funny how batteries seem fine and then suddenly fail completely. Sons was the same started no problem in morning and 1hr later car wouldnt start. AA said probably a cell or two that had failed. We tried charging it and it did look like it was accepting charge but didn't have any reserve power. Enough to start car and that was it.
