ABS Wheel Speed Sensor

Featured Replies

My parents 2016 Yeti has recently started throwing up ABS, ESC, Steering and Tyre Pressure warning lights every now and then. Bit of research and a OBD read has flagged up an error with a wheel speed sensor............... great easy enough fix!

However the problem I have now, is which one to purchase. I have searched on line using their REG and it comes up with two options

412W0009

412W0305

How do I know which one is the correct fit?

Phone them with reg and ask. If they can't tell you which is correct, go to a different vendor.

I can look up a genuine part number if you tell me reg or VIN, and which corner you need.

Careful. Do you know which wheel it is ?

The front ones are different to the back, which are different from side to side, and which are different if FWD or 4WD !

I only know as just bought one - Bosch £22 for rear right 4x4.

I've searched by the reg and position and it is still giving me options hence the plea for help. Its a petrol 2WD and the right rear

HK16 NNB - Should be a 1.2 TSI 2WD

You've reminded me now. The other variation is if the car has self park or not...

Phoning is better than the public facing web interface; real humans can look stuff up via other routes, like I just did.

Right rear wheel speed sensor for your car has genuine part number WHT 003 858, and the relevant PR-code is 1X0.

Another way is to use skodaparts.com website and, via VIN, you have all the compatible parts for your car (and also, if you have questions, they answer them really fast). In really no time you will have the right part number. Basically, it is a free vin decodifier, and you can choose where to buy your parts once you have the pr number.
