Hi everyone,

My electric windows have unfortunately stopped working. Boy am I glad they are up haha! I only have the two on the front, rears are manual. I've recently replaced the switch on the drivers side and I have checked fuses 51+52 and I read on this forum to also check fuse 11. All of them are intact and my electric mirrors also still work (also something I read on this forum).

What could be the issue? The drivers side was always stuttery and would never go fully up/down on its own when fully pulling or pushing the switch, passenger side never an issue. But all buttons and windows are now unresponsive.

I'll message you to ask for the VIN, so I can look up which version of window motor you have.

Mk2 Fabia had 3 different types during its production.

If it's the earliest, 6Y1959801 and 6Y1959802, it'll be driver's side module needing repair.

I'd check the wiring loom through the door hinge- these tend to be the area for issues.

Good point.

Always should be top suspect for any door-related electrics fault on a mk2 or newer.

Sorry to jump onto this thread.

I’ve got the same issue with my daughters Monte Carlo. I have however got the passenger side working by repairing the broken wires in the door hinge loom.

But I’ve had no luck with the drivers door, I’m guessing it’s the motor. Anychance I can send you the VIN Breezy_Pete? Can they be repaired or just replaced with new?

What year is the car Jim?

I'll start a PM conversation with you.
