My problem with acc is that it acts like a "pursuit" way of driving and for me closer to the vehicle in front than I would be. I look at traffic as far as i can see and respond to that not just the car in front.

I agree that can be an issue. I always use the distance setting on top of the ACC lever to set the maximum distance.
I'm interested to know if that has an impact on mi/kWh? To me, I don't think so, but could be wrong!

Can I ask you. When using ACC on the motorway and you come to those occasional places where there are chevrons and signs saying "Keep two chevrons apart". Where is the car in front?

That's a good question that deserves an answer! I'll check when I next get the chance and report back.
Others may already know of course?

Cars too close together is one of the biggest reasons why cars come to a halt on the Motorway for apparently no reason.

Each following car has to brake harder eventually leading to stationary traffic.

I can slow down well before the car realises traffic is slowing down and I am less likely to be hit from behind

Indeed that is so and you are correct. However, I can always override the ACC by applying the brake myself if I see a need arising ahead of me. Similarly I can accelerate manually as well if I should need to. I, the driver am always the one in control and ACC is my servant merely helping me.

I see so many drivers that must be touching their brake pedal for no apparent reason as we are all going along nicely and they start a chain reaction. Must be the ACC affect....

Maybe. I had always put that down to being a nervous driver as I observed it long before ACC came into being.

I have as well for many years but now if is many hybrids, phev,s and EV,s. Especially TESLA,s.

@FrankL When i bought my enyaq 60 in Sept24 i logged the mileage and usage stats on here until I retired last September, it may give you some insight as to what to expect in the Winter.

I am glad I bought it in the Autumn because I saw the worst first.

My recent home charge to 100% gave a result of 100%/274 miles.
The miles seems to be creeping up.
I suspect this is a combination of the car intelligently monitoring my driving style (I'm now getting an average 3.9/4.0 mi/kWh) and perhaps the battery needs some time to settle down into my charging routine.
Anything else?

^^^^ That is the guesstimate for the ambient temp and your recent efficiency. Can you go 174 miles of further. or using 50% of the battery 137 miles and showing 137 miles range?
