Constant app updates

Featured Replies

I’ve been having this issue for a few months now, constant updates for the store. I let it update, I get successful installed but it always reappears every single day

Anyone else have this?

Me too. For a couple of months now I've been getting about 2 updates per week.

Also had an update to 334 a couple of days ago.

334 being the main OS?

Dozens of reports on the Facebook groups. Skoda supposedly deploying an update to fix it.

Yes

Same on ours.

I've noticed a few times the infotainment takes a while to start up so I hoped it was loading an update. Only for the update message to reappear.

I've been getting this too, from posts elsewhere it would appear that a download is being rolled out in batches of VINs. Today I got the message and was driving the car long enough to actually get the download downloaded and then theres a message to install it which takes 20 mins,, after that theres a further message to install the Apps which can be done in the background.

I get this almost every time I get the car out, 'more info' tells you nothing and nothing happens if you select 'install', ps its a '23 Kamiq

Right now its also telling me it wants an oil change, back to Arnold Clarks then

I’ve never had my car update it’s main OS over the air

I believe this is just the Infotainment system software and not the software in the ECU which only Skoda dealers can update. For example the fix to ensure Kessy does not lock the car with the let’s inside could only be done by a dealer.

I’m meant the infotainment system

Well something of note has been downloaded to our 24 Reg SEL - one of my major gripes has been the brief ‘on screen’ warnings, one bong and no more than 2 seconds on screen - I had to be quick to see what the fuss was about - last night however I was treated to three bongs and five seconds or so on screen - sufficient time to actually read what was up, turned out to be the all too common ‘drive in the centre of the road’ warning…….

The car has updated, despite being in a concrete garage during the process, it informed me of the item being updated, job done, or so I thought until I started driving off up came that familiar message again, yes it wanted to do another update, I was driving so I didnt press update, neither did I press 'later', info was not available while driving, did the shopping but the update message has not, as yet, reappeared
