Jan Essex meet?

Featured Replies

wrightyrs has sugested here about a meet in Essex around the middle to the end of January

Place and date to be decided as i'm just seperating it from the pre crimbo meet

so far there are me, wrightyrs and it seems JaneC.

I'm sure Stimps could be persuaded (as long as SWMBO allows !)

Jane

close to the m25 would be good for me.....

All depends where it will be held.... :)

if it is Essex i could tell SWMBO i am popping down to see my Grandmother ;)

well i live in a town called Great Dunmow,on the

A120 between Bishops Stortford and Braintree.

its only 15mins drive to the M11,and yep your right there are some great backroads to drive around here,my favourite routes take you out to a place called Finchingfield then on to Sudbury and a great little road to Colchester from there.

and thats only one of them!!!!

well a place to meet,if its to be near the M25 then the Waltham Abbey junction(26) is ok,it takes you out to the edge of Epping Forest where there are some nice pubs.

if anyone else has any ideas post it and we'll sort it out.

many thanks

You read my mind. There is a nice back road between Loughton (where i Live) and Brentwood, and from there we can get to braintree and/or colchester/stanstead/insert essex town here.

I'm sure some of the north French boy's in kent could turn up, they don't even need the passports to cross over the Thames at Dartford anymore

All sounds good - please add me to the list.

Much as I love Wales (no, really) I thought it was a bit far, just for a day.

There is a nice simple place for everyone to meet as well, literally 2 minute from J26. As you head towards Epping/Loughton on the A121 you pass a Cemetary and more or less thraight after there are two pubs on opposite sides of the road about 100m apart. Inbetween the two there is an Epping Forest car park on the right hand side of the road and we could meet there!

It is the parking symbol shown ont the same road as the cemetary here

I'm up for an Essex meet. It'd have to be after work or on a Sunday.

Home location is Chelmsford, work is Newbury Park A12.

Andy

Could probably make it if it was a weekend.

Any night good for me but need to know sooner rather tha later!

how about we make it the 11th Jan at the location just off J26.

any suggestions on what time for everyone, considering it gets dark at

4pm.

anytime after 11am is good for me,will have a hangover as have a stag night on the Saturday.

if this isn't ok for everone the following Sunday 18th Jan would be good for me aswell, and i'll have been to Jabba by then aswell!!!!

here's looking forward to putting faces to some names....

Sounds interesting...now let me think....drop wife and kids and Lakeside...then slide along.

Maybe, just maybe.

I can do both so either will be good for me.

11th is good for me! I can join the people trekking from Lakeside :)

so the 11th it is then,

what time is going to be good for everyone?

obviously dependant on the lakeside drop off etc

Midday sounds a reasonably time,

any objections?

11 - 12 am is good to me. I'm on nights, but will get a few hours sleep and as i am extremly local i can leave fairly late.

"You can go, but if you do i will be in a strop with you for the rest of the week and i'll think of a divorce you ungrateful little man" is the rough translation, i think.

Could do the 18th though.... PLEASE can we make it the 18th.....

I should be able to make either day, 11th or 18th.

WrightyRS, you're welcome to come for a spin in my car to see what difference a Jabba remap and ABD LAN CAI kit make? :driverall

Looking forward to whenever it is...........

There is a road right where we are meeting where you can do that, and anyone who wants a little burn up, although the speed limits are 30 - 60 which of course none of us will break being law abiding citizens (and meeting in one of the most anti speed policing areas in the country)

Way to go picking probably the furthest point away from me whilst still (just) keeping it in Essex! :new_puppy

Will check what I'm up to then (is it still the 11th?) and if JaneC is going to go... :)

We could move it 2 miles further west for you so that we are meeting in East London instead!(just my little satcastic joke)
