Who else remembers the Group B rally cars?

Was bored the other night so I pulled out on of my brothers DVD's called "Too Fast to Race" about the group B rally cars, and it brought back some vague memories of cars screaming through English Forests at excessive speeds - what a sport!

I've narrowed down the cars featured in the video to about five, so feel free to vote on which you think the best one was, and even stick a few pics in of your favourites.

Granted it was dangerous, but why can't rallying be like this today??

That's cos in 1985, group B was using cars with up to 700 bhp. People were being killed by these monsters and things got a little out of hand. Audi did the right thing when Henri Toivenen was killed and pulled out of rallying. Great driver, sad time for rallying. :(

I want to tick them all except the sierra...

That should be RS200 is was lookin at a pic of a sierra cosworth when I put the poll on, and it was the last thing on my mind.

I didn't forget the stratos, it was in the DVD, I jsut didn't include it in the list (my bad)

I was torn between Audi and the Lancia Delta S4 - been for a ride in a rally prepped one (Intergrale, not an S4) couple of years ago - can still hear the noise of the exhaust in my ears (along with lots of ringing)

Wish they'd bring back the Delta to the UK as a production model :(

I voted audi s1 as it was imo the best rally car ever built,i love the growl of the 5 cylinder motor and the screeching chatter off the turbo simply awesome:D and i like the pic of the 037 that red baron put up:thumbup: it was the best era for rallying and there were some other cool cars around in them days other than those mentioned and don't forget the 205 t16 and the lesser known citroen bx4tc

last time I saw a Stratos "in the flesh" it was down a hole in Cardrona forest in Scotland with a finn (Hannu Mikkola I think) hanging upsidedown in the drivers seat!!!

I drove a Monte Carlo that was mocked up too look like an 032, it had the most useless front brakes of anything this side of an octopus. Looked gorgeous though. And to think FIAT canned the Stratos in favour of one of the Mirafiori

RS200 for me, but I can't bring myself to select a Sierra (as in the poll error) so voted Audi instead

What the hell was a BX4tc,

I mean a BX with with 4x4 and a turbo? Can say i would be too sure of how they made the hydrahulic suspension work for rallying speeds mind.
