devonutopia's Skoda Fabia Mongrel

Featured Replies

Thought it was about time some piccies and stats went up, even though the mongreling is still not really complete - Still lots to do. But I can get the majority of the bits up with some pics.

Car

2001 (Y) Skoda Fabia TDI "comfort" spec, originally pd100

Engine

Full vRS PD130 engine conversion. '04 ASZ engine. Fully rewired with vRS wiring looms. Using vRS clocks and ECU. Allard VT5 hybrid turbo. Full stainless straight through exhaust and oval tail. Allard Fabia FMIC & stainless pipework from turbo to inlet manifold. PD160 air intake pipe. Green panel filter. Allard EGR replacing racepipe. Allard remap to 259.4bhp & 370 lb/ft. Powershot 2000 lpg injection system for extra fuelling. Tank in spare wheel well, filler next to regular fuel cap. NOS system fitted - still to tune in.

Transmission

2004 6 speed vRS gearbox. Standard. JBS' 400 lb/ft kevlar clutch and machined down oem flywheel. Awesome strong clutch

Suspension

KW Variant 1 coilovers, dropped around 40mm. Seat Sport strut brace. Jabbasport rear ARB.

Brakes

Brembo 4 pot 323mm braking system. Standrd brembo discs with DS2500 pads. Uprated fluid. Rears standard but painted red to match.

Wheels & Tyres

VW oem Evolo Sport 5 spoke alloys. 17" x 7.5. Wrapped in Toyo proxes T1-R 215/40 tyres. All wheels spaced 15mm on eibach spacers

Styling

vRS rear bumper, smoothed tailgate (100% debadged), side strips removed, limo tinted from B pillars back. BIG Briskoda.net sticker I commissioned personally. Lexus style blacked out rear clusters. MS Design boot spoiler. Front bumper cut out and modified with mesh for FMIC venting. Motorcycle plate used. Mesh now painted black. Nurburgring sticker after visiting the holy land. The only Fabia bonnet lifter as well, hopefully soon to be available to Briskoda too. Carbon fibre bonnet. Only one on a fabia in the UK to my knowledge.

Interior

Pretty much standard. Have fitted the tray/cupholder mod. vRS 6 speed gearstick. Various gauges to let me monitor the engine better.

ICE & Security

Pioneer DEH9400MP MP3 player. HU powered component speakers in doors. crossovers so big I had to put them in the door pockets. :D

Performance

0-60 estimated at around 7 seconds. Official book time of 6.88 at Santa Pod. Still averages 55mpg. Top speed 140+ (still to be tested since new remap)
