The vRS wheels look really good against that colour.

Cheers Manny - I have to say I was really hesitant to move away from the standard look of the car and I actually really liked the smaller chunky five spoke alloys - I do however now agree that the VRS rims look smarter and ive still kept the OEM look. :)

lol... I bought mine a trip to the dealer to get its turbo checked for its 100th birthday! Looking good!

Your car looks very nice. It's very different to the others in that that colour is one I haven't seen before on an Octy, and those wheels look hot on it.

They look great, looking to upgarde myself? what are they pls and the rude question, how much ? cheers.

They are standard Octy 17" VRS alloys.

My issue was that I needed four new tyres - about

I concur, the colour and the wheels go very wheel together.

Did anybody else spot the chavved up Escort in the background?

Very nice, to finish it off, a vRS spoiler?

Funny you should say that as I did give it a passing thought. However Ive decided to stick with the standard lip spoiler now. :)

It belongs to a local CH4V aka my young and rather niave brother in law. :D:rofl:

Ahh thats good - we can slate it now we know it's not your weekend project ;)

looking good there Lee, you have now convinced me I need to do this!!

Colour looks better than I remember it:)

 Oh god no; please slate away!

Henry - amazing what a mop and compound can do for the paint finish! Its the first car Ive ever done where the colour has changed, albeit only slighty, to a darker shade!

When you are around, look me up mate.

All the best of luck mate, :)

225 45 r17 you want... can rate the Toyo Proxes T1-R's... running them on my vRS at the moment... good noise levels and very decent grip.

Probably covered 10K miles on them now and theres still plenty of tread left.

Am i right in saying that you have badged your Elegance up as a vRS??

Wheels look good, changed my RS4 replicas for the same a couple of months ago, i got a spoiler for the rear of mine off ebay, it is not a vRS one but looks similar.

10k with lots of tread? Thats impressive. T1-R's in that fitment are probably what it will be when i need to change them - cheers for the recommendation. :)

Roblatus - when I bought the car it was totally standard except for the remap and the VRS badge on the front grill. I liked it so left it in place. :)

Probably my next move is to remove the side 'elegance' badges.

I have removed the side "elegance" badges and the rear "octavia" one, just left the "20v Turbo" on

Can I safely gather from that; the badges are just glued in place? (ie not pinned in place?)

Cheers,

  • 1 month later...

Well as I said earlier you had me convinced so just bought a pair on ebay:)

Where abouts in London are you mate as I am hoping to pop down next weekend to pick mine up, they are in Tottenham, thought I might come and say hello!

Lee

Side Elegance badges are glued on, so is the Octavia badge on the rear of the boot & the 4x4 badge.

The Big Skoda badge in the middle of the boot is glued but has locating pins

The side repeaters on the front wing look good changed to the smokey grey ones off the Vrs & are only couple of squids each
