White Van Man can now choose Skoda!

Featured Replies

You saw it first here...

I can't believe I'm saying this, but that actually looks more acceptable like that

I can't believe someone beat me to it.

Yes, I too actually prefer the look of the van version.

Maybe, if someone has a white Roomster, they could get white window tints.

Mistake only offering it with the 1.2 engine though - white van man won't be happy with that - he wants a turbodiesel giving at least 120 mph :P

Yeah agree with Nick - that's not even going to move if it's just half laden let alone full!

Chris

at least the 1.4TDI.

That would give it 74BHP which would give it that ford endura feel so it feels like a real escort van :P

Looks good as a van.Bet the load space is impressive

It does also come with the 70BHP version of the 1.4TDI.

That's the new 70BHP version of the 1.2 12v as well, and it's also available with the 1.416v 85BHP petrol.

As popular as a turd in a swimming pool I would imagine.

even witha 1.2 i bet they will still be doing 100 right on your rear bumper :P

If my bro's skoda is anything to go by, it'll have the "auto flash" feature for when u aint moving out the way fast enough:D

looks ok though

Just carrying on the tradition of converting cars into Praktik's Favorit hatch and estate,Fabia Estate and now the Roomy !

I've still not seen a Roomster on the road...

I think this is a repost.

However I like it and I was looking at getting a ford transit connect instead of a car.

We have no kids, few friends that we actively take out in the back seat of the car.

So why have a back seat or plush car that gets muddy / sand / driven up bumpy tracks ? :D

This is a good move as I also now have a whole van side to play with graphics on :)

It just needs a the 1.9pd lump and I'd be happier ;)

I think vans will be the next 4x4/MPV's (i.e. the trendy car to have for the masses)...... seems that vans these day's come with more and more of the toy's you'd associate with a exec saloon, plus there seems to be more and more focus on the performance side as well.

Am I also right in thinking there are tax advantages to be had with vans

It looks better as a van

I reckon that's a passion wagon waiting to happen.

Kind of, if it's a company vehicle...I did look into the possibilty of getting a 4-seater pickup as it would be taxed as a van. If the van is available for private miles, the employee/director receiving the benefit is taxed on this...but it's a flat rate, which is currently

I like the looks of this... brilliant for london too being small engined with all this talk of new pricing for congestion charge

AFAIK, the LEZ proposals are just for lorries, buses and coaches - would suspect car-derived vans will escape any kind of charging based on emissions for quite some time...

Would agree about it being a good city van though, that was the first thing that popped into my head with talk of the 1.2 petrol engine.

Rob.

1.4TDI for the small engine,

2.0TFSI or 2.0PD 170 for the fun engine :)

hmmmmm interesting ....... as i drive a VW Caddy(seat inca) at work id be interested to see how the load space compared to the caddy though im sure i would preffer the new VW Caddy as it has the 140 2.0tdi engine..... :) correction its only got the 105......

I don't think I'd go that far, a little less **** maybe :P

brother reckons (and i'm in agreement) that only one type of person drives a van with options added - pikeys :thumbdwn:
