Paint colour

Featured Replies

Hi

I am now the proud owner of a 1996 Falicia and would like to find the paint code so i can do a little touching up. Have looked under the bonnet around the suspension strut as advised by the dealer, there is the remnants of a sticker but its white through ageing. The dealer printed out the codes for red Felicia's and if I knew what the colours looked like I would probably be able to identify it. The colour is a metallic maroon. Is there anywhere i can see a list of codes attached to colour samples?

My family had 3 skodas back in the late 70's soon after they started coming into the UK through Bridlington / Yorkshire.

Any help much appreciated.

sound like your dealer isent exactly going out of his way to help you hear. just take the car in and say "i want some touch-up paint for that car" if the dealer realy puts his mind to it, he can find out.

can you tell i have gained a surtan amount of contempt for dealers!!!!

If the dealer inputted your chassis number into the Skoda warranty system it will give them a full run down of the car. Engine number, paint codes, etc etc.

thats what i mean. if he (or she, to be p.c. like we all must be) wants to he can.

As others have said, the dealer should be able to sort you out.

Not sure how many reds there are, but Pinky, my old Felicia (now owned by ag.morley) was a non-metallic called "Romantic Red" so that's one you can rule eliminate from your list...

I think you will find that it is.CHILLI RED METALLIC.

looking at the dealers colour list we are down to rally red F3E, Violet Metallic F8E, and 2 types of hot chilli red pearl effect F3S & C3L. If anyone has a car of these colours would they post a picture please.

The colour is a metallic maroon

Hot Chilli Red

there was one very rare called 'SOLITARE' mettalic red/maroon (i had one, a b'itch to get the paint.

try in the rear under the carpet for a colour code sticker.

I think that was a Favorit colour, we had an aerosol of that colour in stock for years before we managed to sell it.

its was a felicia colour '95. '96? very rare

mine was an N reg LXi got it on special order only. and THE only car in that colour the Skoda garage ever saw.

PS it was described as Romantic red, of Chilli until seen the colour was more purple and darker than those.

Is that one of the first

Nah it was a custom paint job by one of the ladeees in the local Scooby club. She was gonna get it resprayed fully in pink, but I think funds were tight so she had to settle on getting the stripes done. :D

Chris (It's not mine, honest :P )

Dear oh dear, Amanda :P The keener Scooby fans will have spotted it's actually a Jap import as it has no headlight washers and colour coded mirrors ;) 260bhp WRX IIRC :D

Never heard of the High Torque model though so you might be onto something there ... I think the MY99 cars were 215bhp compared to the 208bhp of the pre MY99 cars?

My first one was one of the first 400 in the country on an L. It had an Alloy bonnet and I think also had vented rear discs, these were omitted on the subsequent cars. The second car was on a P (it was a long time ago) and it was tweaked a little (+50BHP approx), but it was one of the first

A friend of mine had a P-plate wagon which was a great q car (complete with farmer's car interior!) with a bigger turbo than the facelift cars and I had some fun driving that. My own one was a '98 facelift car which the previous owner had kindly had a full leather interior, 17" wheels and Prodrive QuickShift fitted to :D I also fitted, some bigger brakes and a more "efficient" exhaust and filter that made the car go and sound much better and was RR'ed at 251bhp (although I suspect that might have been an optimistic RR!) :D

Sadly, I had to let it go, otherwise it would have been going in for an engine chip and then letting Powerstation loose on it upgrading all the suspension and ARB's

Blimey, all this nostalgia is making me look on Autotrader :o:rofl:
