just bought my first skoda felicia (1.6glxi) and it has the following problems.......drives fine but when you load up the elctrical system such as puting on all the lights,heater blower,heated rear window etc one of the relay's start clicking like mad and the headlights start to flicker and go out.have checked out the alternator and it seems to be charging, and looks newish and the car has new battery on it........have changed the replay for a known good one and still the same.....................dodgy alternator?????? help as need to use it daily, cheers gang

Dodgy alternator, get it down to a decent battery centre and they check it, or could be a duff earth. Check the earth strap off the battery back to the chassis mount. Then check the ones off the gearbox etc.

It is probably a crap earth by sounds of it or a loose connection. However the voltage regulators on Felicias have been known to be tempremental but usually the other way in overcharging!! Check out earths and any suspect wiring before condemming another alternator.

have managed to trace it to a dodgy earth coming into the fuse board,have bypassed it and it's stopped but am going to buy a manula to find out where the wires go and clean those earth sup.but will try all the earths already suggested by you chaps. many thanks.
