better? Yea, better if you actually want to get out of the UK and past the german border lol

Remember jason gettin searched last year?? lmao!

Yeah, the buggers! Didn't believe me when I said I'd driven to Prague and back in the last few days.... Had to show them the passport stamp from the CZ border to prove it. :D Same happened on the way back from the Ring as well - I think Dover customs don't like me.

My new passport arrived this afternoon

Ordered 2 weeks ago so not to bad.

Looking forward to the long drive but the thinks we are all as mad as hatters :)

We do need passports? Right?

I am getting excited too, still need to start saving a bit (lot) of money for the trip.

Without one, no-one is getting out of the UK. It will be a very short roadtrip for some. :)

I dunno, they might let you out, but they won't let you back in again :P

Nah, getting back in will be easy, just hide in the boot of one of the cars, if found speak with a silly accent and claim political asylum.

eh? I mean at the german border?......

Was I searched at the German border too? I assume you mean with CZ. I definitely went through into CZ without any problems, and don't remember being stopped on the way back either.

On the way back...I'm sure you did.....Cause everyone else stopped to wait and to get stamps on their passports...

Nah, I stopped to get a stamp on my passport as well. :D Good job as I used it at Dover customs control to show where I'd been.... Also, don't jinx me for this trip. :P

This thread is becoming very long and has done it's job

I will be opening a new thread (which will still contain the important stuff) but will concentrate more on preperations for the trip and communication to you ALL. Please bear with me as I hope to post a fair ammount of information which if I can get it to work right will mean pdf downloads of travel route, GPS coordinates, detailed itinery etc. This will reduce the ammount of stuff I will need to post out to you and therefore in turn cut the costs.

Please would EVERYONE that is coming on this trip please subscribe to it and make sure that you have at least weekly email 'post notification' switched on in your control panel.

New thread can be found in Czech Road Trip Information thread.

Bizarre! Will try and find it.

Edit: have been to the new thread but failed to find any option to "subscribe" or where the "weekly email notifications" thingy is...

The subscribe option is located within "thread tools" at the top of each thread. Not sure on the email thing - I reckon that's something you set up in your own control panel, under options perhaps.

Aha =- and when you go subscribe - you have a drop down for email notification there.

So what will this wondrous thing do for me?

Just goes to show not everyone uses the forums the same way (not that I've been saying that for the last 4 years, or anything ... )

PS I will do as I am told, of course - never risk the wrath of a crossed fish ...
