Mad donna:rofl: now that is tragic.

I just think I'll listen to what ever is on the radio at the time. French pop, Belgian Jazz and/or German rock:D

......or just stick the ipod on random.

What the feck is wrong with Madge? Someone must like her due to her untold wealth from making pop music over the past 25 years, including me

Steve,

Just a quick thought as all the places are filled are the T shirts back on the cards?

Just waiting for the final bill to come back from my bank (exchange rate & charges will eat into the money I have allocated for T-Shirts & stickers) and depending on what's left then yes, we should be getting T-Shirts

And im trying to work on a tracking solution for my N95 that should allow the unlucky people not going to see where we are in the world (and the speed we are travelling  )

If Loz gets to bring her collection and Col as Madge, when do i get to listen to Lemmy?????:D

Does anybody know wheather laser/radar detectors are legal to use in the countries we are going though?

Thanks

No idea tbh, but we had no problems last year and frankly there were only the few occassions where speeds got 'interesting', most of the time we'll be cruising at a steady pace.

Bad news in France, allegedly. Don't know about the other countries.

Radar detectors are not legal in any European country apart from the UK.

..........and a flask of cocoa, a broadsheet newspaper, pipe and slippers! ;):D

I spent this afternoon doing an oil and brake fluid change on my "track" car. What did you do, poser boy? :D

That's ok, we're only in France for less than half an hour :)

erm, pose? :o:rolleyes:

I think rule of thumb is:-

France - Reasonable pace - Keep it to 80

Belgium - Well, whatever speed makes the potholes feel comfortable....

Holland . Respect the limits. They're pretty tough on speeding.

Germany, When the grey crossed through signs are passed, boot it. ;)

Czech - Keep it to 80(ish :D)

I think that's a pretty good summary J, shame that 80% of the journey happens to be through Germany though :D

Only hoof it through germany. Speeding fines in the rest of europe can be pretty high, and as you will all be travelling as a largish group you could find yourself being monitored shall we say. The beligians use plenty of unmarked cars, be warned that whats looks like an innocent broken down car could well be a speed trap.

OK, so whos gonna look after me when we're there? you know, make sure I dont get lost or kidnapped, tell me where the group is going so I dont get separated from you all and notice if I'm not there before you leave somewhere so as not to leave me behind? :D

I would of course offer my services, but may not be best qualified. At our Christmas night out I was talking to someone who wouldn't go to the toilet for fear of being left behind when we moved to the next pub. I told her "Don't worry, that wouldn't happen", so she went, and all was well. I then went, and 2 minutes later when I came back everyone had gone! I didn't know they were capable of moving so quickly the state some of them were in.

Unfortunately for them, they hadn't got far (the next pub along the street - they don't like to be without a drink for long) so I managed to track them down (following the trail of spilled booze from the unfinished drinks a few smuggled out - some don't like to be without a drink at all!-)

The experience hasn't made me paranoid though. I just put it down to the fact they were out to get me.

Anyway, the point was I would, but would that make you more or less likely to be left behind?:rubchin:
