I think I have carried out your instructions, oh glorious leader, but nothing has happened. What should I be seeing?

I have subscribed as requested. Just a quick question, is the route proposed including toll roads as I've instructed my sat nav to avoid toll roads? Thanks again Makefish for all your hard work.

There's a proposed route?

No toll roads :)

We're straight into Belgium more or less, then we don't touch France again. :)

Don't speed in Belgium. Keep a very good eye on your mirrors.

Nothing yet (keep heaping on the praise Nick, it's going to my head ;))

No tolls on route at all btw, oh and as for speeding in Belgium I wish you told me that last year! ;)

I don't know about anyone else but I reckon you've earned it.

What is the purpose of this subscription stuff?

No purpose, and personally, I'm going to just check into the international events section every now and then, as well as when it pops up under 24 hrs posts search. :)

The facts will be known 100% for sure, but for me it goes something like

8pm leave for Dover

2am board ferry

5am, leave Dunkerque

5.15am :D enter Belgium, stop at texaco on the border for fuel/food

7am Enter Holland

9am Enter Germany

3pm Enter Czech Republic

4 to 5pm, check into hotel

Times are subject to change. :D

You're mad! :D

Oh, and a video to show others what the Doksy Skoda show is like. :) It is TOTALLY different to any car show you've been to in the UK.

Oh dear :( (complete with trance music)

That's just rock music. :) Did you see the orange skoda with the V8 in the back? I saw it in the flesh last time around and it was luvverly. Shifty nearly bought it.

I'm sorry, but in no way is that rock music  (rap, maybe)

Sorry, have to agree with Jase there, ok it isn't Slayer, and I can't for the life of me remember who it is but its off the Matrix soundtrack. Some serious hardware there.

It's "modern" rock music. ;) It's one of the songs used as a backing rif in the Matrix movie. Anyway, back to the trip. You'll enjoy it I promise. Prague is lovely, the Skoda museum/factory is skoda information heaven, the airfield is just SO much fun, and interesting due to all the cold war style bunkers around the place. The doksy show is "different" but equally interesting. Nights out should be good. Beer is cheap and plentiful. It will be 6 excellent days. :D

It's full of people going nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah nah in a naff rhyming way. To me, that's not rock. (yes I know, I'm very old :P )

The song on tne video is performed by Rag Against the Machine (love that 90's music)

I subscribed to the thread but nothing yet.

I will pass Belgium next week and any more info about speading welkome!:D
