The only thing you can say about that...............

HOLY $HIT!!!!!

If I did that to a car it would never leave the flaming garage!

I think thats a bit sad! What happens when he gets a bit of mud on it? He will end up spending 2 weekends trying to clean it off!

My car hasn't been washed for a few months, and still looks reasonably clean!

Or................you are driving down the road one day in your shiny Astra and....................WHACK!!!!! one stone chip on the mirror like bonnet!

IMO you should only do that to a car if it is designed to be on show permanently.

Besides, I can obtain the same effect on my grey Octavia with one bucket and an old sponge if it's dark enough :P

S******.

It's still an Astra.

(I am not, for the record, saying my Skoda is better.)

I wish i had a garage, so i could spend more time on my car.

Blimey. I can appreciate what he has done, but on the other hand....he really does need to get a life.

That one's certainly done the rounds, even on CorsaSport it's a copy of the original thread on Detailing World.

I was more amused by the responses it got on CS! I don't think they really understand :)

I'm not really one to talk, spending more time than most cleaning and detailing. I can understand his attention to detail, but he has taken it quite far!

For the record, it now shouldn't actually get as dirty if/when the car gets used as it'll be much more difficult for stuff to stick to it! And with a bit of luck, if a stone is heading for the bonnet, it'll bounce off any layers of polish, sealant and wax before doing any damage to the clear coat :)

I bet he washes his hands 17 times after doing toilet and checks that the gas is switched off 32 times before leaving the house each morning. If in fact he does actually leave his house....

That looks very good and I don't see the problem if it keeps the car looking that good and only requires rewaxing every 6months or so. The change to the wheels is very nice, subtle but makes them look so much better.

Do you reckon the guy has a girlfriend ?

How long must he take in the bath.

No because he's always in the garage making love to his car.

How can anyone on a car forum mock him?

He's bought a new car and spend a load of cash getting it how he wants and looking after it from the start (Seam familular :D). Nothing wrong with that

Oh and it will only take him about 10 minutes to wash it

I'm just jealous.:(

Hmmm. Two hours wash, wax and cotton bud is the most any car will get from me.I do enjoy it though

And even that is guaranteed to bring out birds desperate to find a shiny car for a toilet stop though:(

Spent a day and a half doing a friends Frontera once, but it was old, neglected, and really shone afterwards.

My new octy will get a wash, possibly a quick dab of glaze, and a few coats of poorboys natty blue, (when it gets delivered), with a clean up and wax on the weels. About a day, by the time all whe wheels have been off to do the backs, but then its just a quick was every few weeks, till next year.

Now the Corrado, thats a different story...........But that is still being re-stored!

I'm glad I drive a Skoda, not a Corsa - some of those comments on CorsaWorld are  :thumbdwn:

The guy has obviously planned what he wants to do with his new car and probably took a great deal of enjoyment in doing it. All credit to him for having the determination. I wouldn't go to those extremes, nor would most people, but that doesn't mean we should make derogatory comments. Why is it this country always kicks people for making an effort?!

I think I'll go wash my car now...

J

Id love to wash my car but were having the drive done and im parked down the road :(

Looks amazing but I wonder how much he spent doing that...

 My Skoda definately wasn't!!!

well the wax he used on the car is £7k a tub (Zymol Royle) You do get free refills though

hmm..slightly excessive perhaps....lol

looks nice though, for a vauxhall! I love the building in the pics at the bottom!!

Absolutely stunning work, and a well cared for car.

For those who made a mockery, and came up with the usual rubbish 'needs a girlfriend' ... Jealousy springs to mind!

well the wax he used on the car is
