PS: What's with the sig' date=' Colin?

(I meant avatar... *sigh)[/quote']

It's Japanese, or at least that's what it looks like on mine...

Back to the topic - Still not sure if I'll be around. I want to come but a business trip to Beirut has been lingering in the air for the last month or so... :(

Captain Chaos, welcome to the site. I'm sure people will be willing to take you out in their cars. Mine'd probably be a bit boring for you though.

Hi TaviaRS, thanks for the words of welcome, I've found everybody to be very friendly and approachable so far, so thanks. I'm borrowing a lid from a mate of mine (who sadly has a VERY lowered Pug 206 GTi, but I don't hold that against him), so I'd love to have a ride around in your "mobile chicane", thanks :)

Colin's Avatar probably says something along the lines of "if you've got enough free time to sit and work out what this says then you're a sad ######" :D it's either that or it's some kind of feng shui blessing like "light the fires and smoke the tires".

i've already added to this thread to say i'm down to come along as a spectator... do i need to do anything else !?

Pray for dry weather :D

Seems that everybody else has posted here other than me so far, so thought I best say something... Have booked, organising a skid lid through Adrian and looking forward to it on the basis that I get very little chance down in Hampshire to have a no excuses blast without concern for speed limits etc.

Lee

Havent read through the last 5 pages BUT is anybody going in Convoy ??, perhaps seperate threads could be placed in the area pages.

Perhaps for us Southerners it could be the first job for our NEW SOUTH WEST

CO-ORDINATOR

I don't mind convoy, but I will be going really early (to beat the crowd to the lids ;))...

Q, Should I ask if you have a specific head size requirement, perhaps that would be a tadge rude

Nah, fairly ordinary head. It's the waist size which is out of proportion ;)

Me and richorton (the half of hortonracing) have just signed up for bruntingthorpe.

We will give sihorton something to play with along with the fabias :D:D

It's also a good chance for ric to test his freshly built rallycross 205 and it's my first time on track with the xr2

craig

 well the old girls nearly done and its going to the paintshop this week  you ll need more than an xr2 to keep up with me craig :finger: no going to take it easy for half the day then am going to kick ya ass with it  show me the way to the big hammer :smashfrea

Hi Boys and Some Girls,

Well my Standars Ocy vRS has just reached the grand old age of 9 months and has got 23000 miles on the clock. It has got even quicker as the engine has now pretty much run in. When I first got it, it would only do 103mph in 3rd gear now it will 110mph. I managed to pluck up the courage to max it out the other day on the M74 jst pass annadale services and my god did it fly!.

The speedo was reaqding just under 150mph but with GPS I reckon it was 147mph dead.

Regarding the track day. My car is a company one and my company insurance and as almost all other insurance policies state "The car is excluded from track proving or racing" so if the un-thinkable were too happen out there on the 24th your insurance company would not pay the bill and you would be left with a totalled vRS.

Just thought this would be worth mentioning to all those who may book and forget about insurance for your motor on the track - I do not believe the

funny you should say that about flashing or beeping, i keep getting the urge to flash another skoda driver when i see one but never do through fear that they might think i'm being funny or something...

I look for eye to eye contact / recognition first and then there's normally a mutual little

Been dogging again then Jas?
 Is this what Stan Collymore admitted to? :D

But no - it's just nice to get to show the Skoda comarardory (sp?) out on the open road. That bloody 04 vRS driver never waved at me the other day though... :D

Ok

I know the answer to this is obviously hidden somewhere but I cant find it

What time does the meet start

Also is there a link anywhere to a location map etc for Bruntingthorpe
