Will you be in black so we can recognize you?

Des, dearest, I never wear anything else. It goes with everything.

A bit like gin!

I will be, Des. redface.gif
Trying to talk the bloke round to agreeing to come along. Think he's just a bit unsure of turning up in our old banger when you've all got go-faster motors...

*grin*

However' date=' the kids are well up for it, Temple of Doom being esp keen to meet a fellow girl with attitude.[/quote']

Oh no.....not two 14 yr old girls...... I dont know if I can stand the stress.

I wouldnt call mine a go faster motor either....barges dont go fast :D

Ian i said fit harness's to the vRS not stirrups........

I'll be coming along as a spectator, SWMBO doesnt want the Skod on a track quite yet. Its either that or she doesnt want the nice new interior smell corrupted by tyre smoke !

Looking forward to seeing you all though.

Q, if the future Mrs Q finds out about your mods, I foresee some alternative baloon bending :D

Andre, your car is OK noise wise, I never got kicked off any tracks with it :D

Actually Temple is 10 (going on 19.) Attitude in *spades*, mate.

Anyway I don't know that I can cope with the kids in the back of the car all the way to Bruntingthorpe...

'Are we there yet?'

'No'

'Are we there yet?'

'No'

'Are we there yet?'

'No'

'Are we...'

'Do you *want* me to use the ball gag again???'

'Do you *want* me to use the ball gag again???'

;)

Me and richorton (the half of hortonracing) have just signed up for bruntingthorpe.

We will give sihorton something to play with along with the fabias :D:D

It's also a good chance for ric to test his freshly built rallycross 205 and it's my first time on track with the xr2

craig

I'm aiming to be there on the day spectating & mingling!

It's a mere 'dash' up the M1 from MK so I'm very much looking forward to it.

What time is it all going to be kicking-off?...

I've asked a Voodoo priest to put a spell on me... Anyone telling her about my plans will suffer the same punishment and pains as I will ;).

Need advice please. My tyres will need replacing soon, should I do it before or after the trackday ?

Jane, It really depends how much tread you have on them at the moment. If your really close then it might be best to get them done before as they might not be legal afterwards.

However brand new tyres are not so good if you plan to really explore the limits ;)

However a good tyre eg Pirelli P-Zero system will take quite a bit of abuse even when new.

Rotation after or before the event will minimise the wear, if possible a spare set of wheels' although this is of course an extreme solution.

Hope that helps, so long as your "gentle" your wear will be fine, but do try to put a few miles on the new set before tracking, allows things to bed in :D

Please can you add me to the list to come along to the National Meet on April 24th. Unfortunately, my Furby vRS is a company motor so track days aren't really an option (bummer) :( but after talking to Colin and ffelan, they both stressed that the day is a "two-part" meet and is as much a social and a good day out as it is an excuse to rid the world of it's over-supply of oil and rubber.

I will of course be bringing a crash helmet and a lot of cheek :D

... and burger money, obviously.

Jane, if my wheels will fit your car, you're welcome to destroy my tyres - I need an excuse to replace them as I don't like them :D

Captain Chaos, welcome to the site. I'm sure people will be willing to take you out in their cars. Mine'd probably be a bit boring for you though.

Has anyone consulted Brunters about sweeping the circuit the day before we attack it? I've been warned that gravel is quite a problem and windscreens could suffer if there's some serious amounts of the loose stuff!

It will be swept the day before; I am told by Des.

There are horror stories, but only a few and Bruntingthorpe is used far more than those days alone.

If you can keep to the lines then it should not be a problem...

I have been warned about some steepish banks at some places off the circuit. I think I'll be keeping my eye out for them on my first slow run around...

Good job on the sweeping - will be worth it! :D

PS: What's with the sig, Colin?

(I meant avatar... *sigh)

I wondered, as well. At work (IE, what else?) the text shows up as a set of blank "I can't render that, it's not Microsoft!" boxes. At home, it looks like Japanese Hiragana script. Dunno what it means, though. And why that flag?

Just for the record there are no stones and there are no banks or barriers, low flying aircraft, zebra crossings etc, etc, etc.

Just a bloody good day out and one you will never forget so BOOK NOW.
