Process:

**WHEN asked about skills, eg virgin, noivce, inter or advanced. Do not worry about the 30 quid excess, this does not apply, tick inter for now, we'll sort on the day **

4. Book Event > https://www.easytrack.co.uk/events/book.asp?event_id=284&attend_id=0&has_booked=N

*Note: The cost of the day is 90GBP. Other payments are not required so do not check them during the booking process. If any mistakes are made we'll attempt to rectify them.*

Do not check instruction or hire helmets etc, I have no idea about the insurance they offer...don't check any options other than car/driver etc...

Looks familiar, good call Q. ;)

Oh and we'll keep trimming posts otherwise this will get unmanagable. Jon

Sorry for the delay in putting up the link guys but my monitor went down a couple of days ago and haven't been able to access the net.

Still we are there and with everyones help the link is now up. Just to clear up a few points note the following.

1. There will be 25 helmets available on the day free of charge. These will be on a first come first served basis.

2. 3 instructors will be available on the day free of charge .

3. The cost is

Des, can you confirm the road legal bit - there are track cars booked on already and this would seem to preclude the use of slicks? - normally both are allowed on track?

Yes slicks are allowed on track just that err, some members have in the past tried to used worn road tyres with disastrous effects, is that a black RS I see parked up. :D

My advise would be to read through the Easytrack requirements before you book.

Can members who have put their names down but have not booked their places please do so ASAP.

Please note that this trackday has been booked as a direct result of your names being on the list.

We need your support!!!!

The event is now open to other forums/clubs/enthousiasts, in addition the event is now available for easytrack members to book. A real shame that we have to resort to that but that doesn't make them less welcome.

29. james' mate - Elise 135 - BOOKED \ CONFIRMED(mattbarham)

25 lids, first come, first served so get there early if you want one.

Alternatively, AAT & Demon Tweeks sell them from around

Thanks for that.

Just had a quick look at demon-tweeks, cheapest i could see was

Just a early reminder for everyone... MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR DRIVING LICENSE ON THE DAY!. as kindly reminded by one of the SCN crew

Hope photocard one is OK... but good warning!

Looking through the list of atendees, one person is notable for there absence. Does Des (delcac) the organiser need to book as well, or does he get in without being on the list, making 8 places remaining.

Already paid a big deposit to set this trackday up but seeing how things are panning out the deposit is the least of my worries, it's the remaining places costing around

Hope photocard one is OK... but good warning!

Jason, the photocard bit alone might not be acceptable it the paper bit they most likely want to see with all the endoresements and bans.

is it possible to display a show reg plate, rather than the plate used when on the road. and if so, how could I secure it to the car without having to remove the road one. Perhaps clips or something to hold over the original.

Gaffer tape, it's the way forward :D

velcro pads is a good way also incase you nip out for fuel.

dont forget to angle grind the vin numbers off....

Not long to go now must admit i'm quite looking forward to seeing everyone.

I've had a few PM's asking about the day itself and how we will all be running so here goes.

1. When you arrive in the morning sign in/register with Easytrack and get your drivers wrist band.

2. There will be 25ish bash hats supplied be Easytrack FOC on a first come first surved basis.

3. At about 8.30am (see Easytrack paper work) there will be a drivers briefing.

4. We will be running in three sessions, one for Nutters, one for intermediate drivers, one for beginners. Possibly an open pit lane in the afternoon, i'll leave this up to the drivers.

5. No official timing or racing is allowed but you are allowed timing gear in your own car ie to time your own laps. Those with adjustable suspension may wish to see how different settings will effect lap times.

6. There are no top speed runs at any time, thats not to say you can't look at your speedo at the end of the strait. We could ask easytrack to turn a blind eye at lunchtime though, they could only say no.

7. Any dangerous driving and you will not be allowed back on the track, thats not to say you're not allowed to make a mistake.

8. Please remember this is a National meet as well as a trackday, a fun day out for all the family.

9. Everyone is most welcome so bury it, put on a smile and shake on it. Those concerned know what I mean so don't miss out because of some silly posting, it's just not worth it.

BTW Thanks for all your support, Des

PS Those members that are on a provisional booking are about to losse their places so be quick or you will loose out.

Don't worry I'll get you in whatever, just turn up on the day if you don't have any joy with Easytrack.

PS Thanks for support.

Des' date='

Any info on what the short handling course involves? Is it normal "track" with lots of twisties, lower speed, etc?

Many thanks for organising the day, btw :)[/quote']

Haven't a clue. Try the web site maybe something on there.

Brunters site:

"Our privately owned and managed facility includes several alternative circuits ranging from a 4.2 mile (6.75km) main circuit incorporating a 2 mile (3.22km) long 60m wide straight, through to the 2 mile

25th /Sunday so she's a little busy.

Steve

hs anyone had any email or paperwork from easytrack? If so can someone email me a copy?

The paperwork is in the confirmation e-mail.

1. Gives details of how to get there and noise limits etc.

2. Indemnity form.

Was in an attachment to the e-mail, currently saved on my PC now.
