Earphones and Headphones etc

Featured Replies

Just thought id post a thread knowing how many people have ipods...

Ive just got myself a set of sennheiser CX300 ear-canal headphones for 18quid on amazon and i have to say im amazed at them!!!

Now ive always liked my music, so i didnt bother with the normal ipod earphones.. ive always had sony fontopia earphones.. mainly because they were bassy and sounded pretty good.. but having heard good reviews of these sennheisers i picked a set up... and all i can say is if your using the standard ipod earphones your missing out... the difference really is staggering!!! the fit takes a bit of getting used to, and youll have to mess about trying out the 3 different size of ear-bud.. but when you get it right, youll know about it!.. the music now has soooo much more detail, and ooodles more bass :D - although the downside is it makes it pretty ovbious which MP3s havent been encoded at high bitrate.

So

Sennhieser CX300 ear-canal earphones :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: 5/5 - best

I bought a pair of Sennhieser headphones many years ago, when I had a steam driven stereo, and they cost me a weeks wages.

They were awesome, and I still have them somewhere ( I think they were HD414X)

Sennheiser all the way for headphones. I have been through about 3 pairs over the years DJing and blew a few lesser brands before seeing the light.

The CX300 are great for planes/travel as they are noise cancelling

You have to be a bit careful when lsitening to your MP3 player and crossing the road

Neo, got a pair meself from amazon for peanuts- best 15quid i've ever spent!!

Bayer Dynamics do some pretty good ones too, but they are a bit on the large side :P

another fan of the CX300's :D

Try to avoid eating a packet of crisps whilst wearing them though! I've got a set and they are awesome, but they do amplify any noise you make whilst eating lol.

I bought some Sony MDRV150 DJ Headphones for my ipod on recommendation. No noise cancellation, but weere great keeping my ears warm in the winter whilst out.

Sound quality is very good.

Buy Sony MDRV150 DJ Headphones. at Argos.co.uk - Your Online Shop for Sony headphones.

Bad points are:

Uncomfortable after about 30 mins, but i have big ears, so could be me.

2m cord is a pain all wrapped up with a clip.

For desk use I have the PX200, a little more comfey than in ear ones, but not big enough to wear all day sadly.

Could do with a really good pair of comfey ones as I tend to code / work with music all day. Never so loud; okay, occasionally, as to cancel out office noise, phone etc.

Any recomendations, apart forn the sony one mentioned, I too have big ears :D

Another vote for the CX300's here!

After reading this thread i dropped some hints.. and got a set for my birthday :D

They're soooo much better than the Philips ones i was using!
