Interest in a Jabba Remap Group Buy?

Featured Replies

Just testing the water really at the moment, seeing how many people would be potentially interested in a custom remap?

I would imagine we'd need a minimum of 10, and this could be a mixture of TDi and petrol.

It would include before and after plots and take roughly 3-4 hours on the rolling road.

If you're interested please start a list. If you're interested, but want to remain anonymous, PM me.

Cheers,

Steve

Thats the price for the custom map - I think generic ones were even cheaper! :)

MAY be interested... Just deciding whether to mod the ol' gal or not really... :rubchin:

Well, I'd certainly be going for the custom option. I did put that in the first sentence of the post :)

Come on Tom, we all know a remap doesn't really count as modding! ;) :P

Steve

As per pm Wardy, I am definately interested, need to get the old Furby remapped before she hits 30K miles!

Here's the prices:

1.8T, 1.9 TDI & 2.0 TDI

Custom SRP

depends on when,i'm a bit skint at the mo but definatly interested.:D

Yeah, know what you mean :)

I'd be perhaps looking at September time, but it depends what happens of course. You could perhaps look at signing up, and paying a deposit, for getting it done later in the year. I'm sure this has been possible in the past?

Steve

yes that could be an option,if its september i will probably be rich again by then:rofl:so money won't be a problem,i will keep looking in here to see if we get enough interest and go for the group buy.:D

I'd be well up for that and i know my mate would be too and he should have his new car by then!

Im in for the group buy, just waiting for exhaust to be fitted.

I was looking to have this done soon anyway.

1) Chissey - (custom remap)

If your interested just PM Steve (Wardy).....none of this I'll wait and see malarky.

If the group buy goes through you can choose any available date in the year....you just pay a deposit on booking. September is not theat far away either.

So put your name down so we can get the numbers.

Once Steve has at least 5 people regsitering their interest I'll start up a proper group buy thread.

So far I think there are at least 2 definates...on 3 more to go till I can go organise it.

Any more interest? 3 interested parties at the moment.

kandrews and oilburninnut, if you're interested, drop me a PM.

Cheers,

Steve

I'll keep this in mind for a week or two. Need to prioritise. Do I map the car or treat myself to a Mac Mini media centre for the AV system ? Hmmm, decisions, decisions.

:( Why couldn't this have come up a in few months time? :(

I am waiting till the warranty expires in sep, first mot, tax next month, hopefully paying off remaining debt on the car and by then it'll probably be time for the 40k service!

If this doesn't get enough interest at this stage then I will be looking after all the above has been sorted  , assuming the insurance won't rape me of course:rolleyes:

No real rush guys. Was just giving the thread a :bump: really :)

As has been said, you could put a deposit down now, and do it later in the year. I'm looking at September myself.

Yes mate will definitely be interested in a re-map, probably only a generic one though. Was thinking about selling the old girl, but have decided to keep her another couple of years, as i can't find anything good enough to replace her with, so a re-map will be like having a new car, at least until my dad sells me his 06 furby vrs. Count me in.

cheers.

Anymore for anymore? Any questions you may have, I'm sure we can get answered :)

Roll up, roll up :D

Cheers,

How much deposit is required to secure the price ? Decided to put the Mac Mini on hold so funds may be available soon.

I'm interested in the Generic Remap but cannot find anything on Jabba's website about post remap gains. Would I be right in guessing they are similar to 70nm increase and approx 35-40bhp increase on the PD130 Octi

Is the map switch able like revo or AMD ?

Nope...but for 1.8T they have a boost controller where minimum is like the standard car settings.

It can be removed at servicing time.

Generic map doesn't give quite the sam eoutright figures as the maps have to suit lots of cars. In this I mean although the engines are of the same type each will have it's own characteristics.

Typically I would say 5-10bhp less...not sure on the torque figures.
