Yep along with replacement chassis leg and bulk head panels.

That BMW is cool, such attention to detail for a child's toy - no indicators!

This is my kind of shopping, and Sarah at Awesome makes it all too easy..

Looks all too expensive mate, nice and shiny though eh.

It wasnt cheap, but having said that Sarah looked after me and we had some wheeling and dealing going on for a good deal.

OT - Your other wheeling and dealing was sorted with a successful conclusion on Friday.

Well, no-one ever accused Sarah of being cheap, but she is well worth paying for!! :orb_devil

New update, car is being worked on atm, bulkhead panel going in...yay. Rollcage has been ordered from Tornado Motorsport (six point MSA approved track day jobby) and i've been painting yet more engine parts. Head is ready to come back but somewhere along the line one of the washers that sits under the exhaust valve spring has gone walkabout. These are unique to the APX and BAM engines for some reason, only 80p each from VAG but they are currently on back order :(

Some shiny parts

It was one of them, can't remember if its the one off the ambulance or the donor engine. Got so many 1.8T engines in bits its hard to keep track. But dont worry your not going to end up with an APX bottom end ;)

darn.

Happened to have a bit of time of work today so grabbed the Golf back off Gary and wheeled it over to Unit 18 as i'm just accross the way and thought i'd update with a few pics of how the car stands right now.

Welds etc need grinding and tidying up but the chassis leg panels are in place. The Bulkhead panel has been made, just need to figure out what to do with regard to the top section, not sure if we are going to fold it over and weld to whats there or make a new flat panel on top (my fav idea).

Also stripped out whats left as I've decided the Golf once the engine is back in and running will get the external bodywork done so I stripped off the rest of the bodykit and rear bumper to see what lurks behind. Pretty much as the rest of the car suprisingly little in the way of corrosion. Rear beam and tank will come out for refurb and the under side of the car will be stripped and sealed again. The underside will be a whole lot easier now we have a two post lift!
