Got a pair of wheels to go up front to roll about on which is kinda handy.

A little update from a few hours spent on the car this morning. Dropped it down on four wheels for the first time in god knows how long. Popped a wing back on to see what it would look like, quite happy with the track increase. Also stripped the engine down to the block. Will clean up all removed parts, probably stip down the head and check valves, re lap in and change stem seals etc.

My 'new' wheels have arrived, not bad for

Excellent - classic wheelage!

Steve

A lot of good work there, Ross. I'm sensing you have a soft spot for 5 spoke star shaped alloys with a dark powdercoat?

They will look even better once your clean them up and then get them rebalanced with weights on the inside

The only sad thing about you having those legendary wheels Ross is that there is now, somewhere, a Corrado not wearing them :(

  • Author

Well the Corrado could be no more, who knows.

And yes, I dont know why I have this inclination to buy an old set of genuine wheels and paint them a dark hue, very odd.

No worries on that, my refurb man does a brilliant job on my rims.

You can't beat dark 5 spokes.

I loved my Platnium Grey TT Comps.

Ordered my tyres, went for some 185/45 15s in the end :)

bit late.....but I really really like them wheels :D

Should look good on there, will need spacers at the back, maybe some up front we shall see.

Plan on doing a little more up the unit tomorrow, got a little side tracked today with an Octavia.

Looking a bit better now, quick coat of primer to see if anything else needs attention..
