The way the torque feels I usually prefer "hit it!"

And if there's someone tailgating me and I accelerate hard it's "smoke the barsteward-now!"

btw - how old do you have to be to grow up????

Bas

If I'm being tailgated I tend to use "bye bye baby" when I boot it.

You have the revised version of the Highway Code too then ;)

Chris

Pretty much any of the foregoing, or the poll options. Also "Welly it", "Full chat/bore", and many more that I can't be bothered typing today.

what about POWER!! LOL you just have to love jc :)

not/wasn't bimbling :)

Toe Down, as in come on you stupid woman get your 'insert expletive' Toe down :D usually shouted at the wife when running late :D

I usually yell "Punch it!" ala bad boys when I floor the throttle.

Otherwise, 'giving it a good pasting' and 'caning it' are the usual ones. :)

"mash it"

past tense - "mashed it"

As in mashing the accelerator through the firewall/front bulkhead......

Ride the torks  (in Clarkson stylee)

!

One I haven't seen mentioned is 'launch it' which is reserved for accelerating hard from a standstill.

I managed to definately "hoof it" on the way home tonight, so much so I averaged 15 mpg    .

Did show my mate a clean set of tyres though and he was in a 300bhp tuned mr2  .

(And yes, before anyone says it I know it would've had me but I got the overtaking advantage and a good run so he didn't stand a chance really after that :P )

another good one is

"EMERGENCY START" for a wheelspinning burnout

"Got the hole shot" - reserved for drag racing (on legal strips of course).

See, I was thinking you meant FACIAL expressions before I read the poll options! So being a Fabia vRS owner, I was thinking:

(NB: Before everyone flames me, I am actually kidding! It's not as though it's a 2.0l ;) )

Then my train of thought went onto acceleration expressions when a passenger in SWMBO's car, and I thought it's not an expression as such but I've found that bouncing up and down in the passenger seat is a great boost to performance! :D

I'll get me coat...

I remember when I was learning to drive, my instructor used to say "more gas, more gas".

rag the **** off it

I use the term "rip snorting " quite a bit normally with a big :D on my face when I hear the vRS turbo whistle.

Little 'un does a good impression of Clarkson when I have a rip snort moment, from the back seat "POWER" is normally uttered in an 8 year old's deap voice :P

Hoon it...

Sorry not on the list..but ours is

"lets try and get another three":)

Merely an expression:)

I usually "boot it". Very apt given my size 10 DM's. But also "giving it nuts" :D:D:D

Give it some pasty or Wamp it up!

for me these are the ones I use!
