I'd definitely be up for one.

you will have to all pm skodivrs who will set up another 1 aslong as he gets 5 persons interested

well, I think if we get a list of some people who would be interested, wo we have some parties definately interested, then we can PM Skodivrs to get another set up.

Yep, mine came in a bike box too, no extra bits but i did get a pamphlet on my suspension seat post!

I know i said i was gonna fit mine on sunday but i lay awake all friday night trying to think of a way to do it at my house without the use of jacks, axle stands or ramps. Then it dawned on me, there is a part of my garden where i can back my car to the edge of the lawn where there is a drop off made by a brick wall about 2½ feet high. the wall has a recess just narrower than the width of my fabia so i could carefully back it out so the back end spanned the recess and i could sit comfortably underneath and do the fitting, perfik!

I got up about 8am so i couldn't really call anyone to come and help so it took about an hour to get planks and chocks in position and get it backed up over the recess. I have pics on my fone but haven't the knowhow to post them but i could send them to someones phone if they're interested and they could maybe post them for me.

A good tip is, try to get a second pair of hands as it took ages to get the clamps closed far enough to get the nut started even after pre-forming the clamps. Eventualy i had the idea of using a G clamp to close the ARB clamps ehough to get the nut on, result!

A couple of points about the nyloc nuts (the ones with the blue nylon insert in). We use them alot in the nuclear industry and it is reccommended that they should never be re-used so when we unscrew one we must throw it away and get a new one to re-fit. So if you are fitting a second hand ARB it would be worth getting some new nyloc nuts for a few pennies for peace of mind. Now this may just be our company policy but as i said its your safety and its only pennies. Similarly, dont use the nyloc nut to pre-form the clamp use the normal nut. And finally, when the nyloc nuts are finally fully tightened, make sure there is at least one thread protruding through the insert otherwise it wont be doing its job.

If like me you discovered that your socket set doesn't have a 16mm socket then the 5/8" one fits just as well.

Because of the sruggle getting the clamps closed (until i used the G clamp method) the fitting took me 50mins but if i had to fit another it would take half that, easy.

I tested it that morning and man can you tell the difference. The body roll is greatly reduced and cornering is much swifter (or should i say brisker?). I'm now wondering how grippy the Toyos are as it now handles corners so much faster, its like its on rails.

So in summary, this is an excellent mod, easy to fit and wont cost the earth, thanx Jabbasports! Do i get my free sticker now? ;)

Managed to figure out how to add those pictures now, not very good res so quite small but you can click on them to enlarge! These are pre-fitting pics BTW, Cheers

Mac, I hope those walls are strong

Mac, I hope those walls are strong

Solid sandstone but i did chock any loose blocks with bits of slate beforehand, that's part of the reason why it took an hour to set up before any work started. I must admit it was a bit nerve wracking backing it out with no one guiding me
