Spectator and National meet...

Featured Replies

So who is going to be just spectatoring at the National meet, me I,m hoping to be able to get there to view, watch and say hello.

I realise the facilities arent tailored towards spectators but I thought I would start this and pose the question seeing as how this is a "National Meet".

Cheers

Definitely me, probably plus 2 sons.

PS I'm coming for the T shirt. :D

I'll be spectatoring/acting as ballast dependent on the availability of a lid.

No 1 son will also be joining me.

I'll be offering little joyrides to whoever fancies it.. I'm leaving my rear seats in now, as I've decided that removing that will be bad for kharma on the day!

i'll be going along as a spectator too, be bringing my better half with me so if anyone wants to give a lap to a screaming female that'll tell you to slow down alot then feel free to take her round.

Happy to give rides (in the car - er I mean in the passenger seat - er ....) :o

I'll take her round, and once she's strapped in and I'm doing 20+mph I'll tell her I left a car on its roof only 3 months ago! Screaming? hehehe! You'll hear her all the way from the end of the 2 mile str8 :D

Yep , can't justify the cost including insurance and am not going to risk my car on the track without.

I'll probably be going on my bike so I'll have a lid handy should anyone offer me a lift round.

Lmao...

Will be there spectating with lid in the car, in case anyone fancies trying to scare the **** out of me on track ;):D

Chris

I'll be there as a spectator, with my camera, as the terms of my lease are very explicit about not allowing track days etc. :(

Chaos

I'll be there too, again finances have stopped me playing, but I'll be bringing my lid as hopefully Ian (whitelightning) may want some excessive ballast to get his 650+ BHP Supra around the first corner after the straight. And if anybody else wants a LardArse for ballast I am more than happy to help, although I am not climbing into any ones boot!

Ill be there too as a spectator and would love a trip in anyones car!

Work have finally agreed to give me the saturday off so all been well i will be there as a spectator, hoping to get a couple of passenger laps in remapped octavias to convince me which one to go for :)

I'll be there mostly spectating as well. Maybe a couple of runs in the novice class, but maybe not if I don't get there early enought to borrow a lid :)

I'll be offering passenger rides as well.

If anyone is nervous of being passengered, I gather from Monkey Spanker (who doesn't like being a passenger) that I'm OK to go with as I am actually fairly sane.

Much as i hate to admit it, i did feel totally comfortable being Driven around Anglesey by our resident nutter (Hi Jon  )

However, he had a proper car at the time, not some smoke belching private hire cab :D

Check the small print with this wise-guy, rumour has it that on the way back to pit lane he will helpfully point out that the meter has actually been running for the last 5 laps and stitch you right up

;)

Ta Geoff! Maybe I could have a passenger lap or 2 in yours?

Or borrow it :D

Ill let you borrow mine (if i havent fried the brakes on the first lap) :D

Ta Geoff! Maybe I could have a passenger lap or 2 in yours?

By all means :)

But i don't want you going all misty-eyed and nostalgic at being back in an RS again :P

And don't even think about putting the taxi meter on my dashboard ! :nono:

I think (IMHO) that the better the driver, the safer you feel, regardless of the speed. I'm still looking forward to a lap or two with Jon - originally promised at a certain German venue - but can vouch for Paul, and one or two others I've ridden shotgun with. Jon - can I hold you to your promise this time?

All being well (looks promising so far  ) I'll be there, even if I don't arrive until after mid-day.

I'm looking forward to (mis)matching real people with the mental images built up from their Briskoda posts ;)

Maybe, if I'm lucky, I'll be able to beg a passenger lap or two...

I'll be there spectating, taking plenty of pics and maybe some good pub banter afterwards...
