Is it worth me buying? Can you use the two together or is one or the other?

I think mines 915, I was told it's better than the 476 for darker colours (although I doubt it makes any difference).

Apparently 476 is alot easier to buff off too... not that i've personally tried both.

Dodo juice gets good reviews on Detailing World but it just depends what your budget is and what you want to achieve!

I've got both and to be honest there's no real difference, in fact I find 476 easier to apply.

I prefer the finish to dearer waxes I have, including Swissvax Sapphir and shield.

Think I'll stick to the 476 that I have now as I am really happy with the finish that I can get with it. Just wasn't sure if the two were to be used together, but you've answered that one.

Yea if you want a change the Dodo Juice is getting nothing but good reviews and think that ill be putting my own cash that way next

I'm getting a black L&K tomorrow and was looking at either one of these but not sure which, so here comes the question...

The 476s is more durable due to the lower carnuba content and it says it's good for a year. If I get the 915, which people with dark colours seem to rave about as the shine is deeper/wetter, how durable is it likely to be if I give it two coats a year instead of an annual coat of 476s?

To be honest, I'm gonna polish it twice a year with whichever I get, I just wanna know whether the 915 will hold out that long or whether i'm gonna have to do it more regularly than that?!

My personal preference is for two coats of 476 and then two coats of Victoria Concourse, on my black vRS. That way you could leave it a year between Collinite treatments and still have protection on the paint. But also, if you wish, top-up with perhaps quarterly Victoria coats.

This is mine after 6 months, with no additional coats. After washing and rinsing, car is always spritzed with Meg's Last Touch while still wet and then dried. I find this helps to bring back the depth and shine:

I asked the same question a while back and in the end plumped for the 476S over the 915 for my storm blue octy

briefly, 476S is more durable; 915 is harder to buff off, is less durable but gives a more "wet" look

been impressed so far with the 476S, I think it has bought out the blue more than previous

that's probably an odd thing to say and most would not notice the difference, but as I'm looking at it every day I do notice the difference

it was suggested to me that you could use the 476S and then a coat of 915 to get the combination of durability and the wet look

i find 476 comes up better after the following wash, especially at this time of year when it gets warm. also washing the car afterwards with cold water seems to make the wax last longer too.

i usually do a coat of 476 every 1-2 months and after every wash give it a light spray of AG aqua wax, its great for removing water droplet marks, smears etc and keeps the wax topped up too and its quick and easy to do too.

I can't see how there's any way you need to apply 476 that often!

Most rewarding, if you want to put the time in waxing your car that often, would be to top up using a softer wax, with a higher carnauba content. You'll still have the Collinite durability underneath, but benefit from the shine and gloss of a more 'concourse' orientated product on top.

Really like the finish on it.

I did mine by hand last weekend, and probably it will get a second coat this weekend if the rain holds off (which I doubt!)

I applied 2 coats a year ago and it's still beading so I'd say that more than 2 coats every 6 months is probably not gaining you anything.

As Steve suggested, if you want to wax often I'd do a couple of coats of 476s then layer a coat of something like P21s or another good looking short life wax on top of this every month or two.

i find after a month it looses its beadyness and looks as if its unwaxed.

What condition was the paint in when you applied it? What process had it been through? Sounds like the wax isn't bonding to the paint properly.

usually wash it with AG shampoo/conditioner., hose off, dry off then use a microfibre to apply it and a clean microfibre to buff it off. basically the same as how most people do it.
