my beloved octavia rs stolen

Sorry to hear you had your car stolen, the entire thread is a gripping read with a happy ending, though no one should have to go though this in the first place! I bet you are anxious to get your car back and check it out. Your car sounds like a great motor, someone down the road from me has a black vRS and I always give it an admiring glance, beginning to think a 4x4 was a waste of time.

It was only this weekend, (before I came across this thread) that I decided to get a Tracker fitted, and it is booked in at the end of this month. I had Tracker Retrieve on my last car, a Renault Megane, it blew up when I started it one morning so the RAC towed it to the dealer with me driving. When we arrived, I got out, taking the keys out of the ignition, and we pushed it back 4 ft into a space once we uncoupled it from the Transit. It was then my mobile started ringing, I didn

 Sorry, but thats just the point, really glad he got it back but an RS *is* nice looking piece of kit, hence far more will be stolen, goes with the territory I guess. Would rather have a plain looking motor but find it where I left it.

Thats gotta hurt, your pride and joy taken and breakin in to your house!!! B***erds, can't they get a proper job!

By the way guys tracker is available from your local Skoda Dealer (its in the latest skoda accessories brochure). I don't know the precise cost of it but i can enquire for you!

In regards to immobilisers and such, what'll happen is that the TWOCers will come looking for you to disable all the security features on the vehicle, with force in necessary, just to take the car! Not looking forward to that.

At least your ok, thats whats important, the car, as much as you love it, can easily be replaced.

thanks to everyone, who have been so supportive on this forum. Having your car nicked is really **** on top of the other things that life throws at you.

police have now examined the car and have some dna evidence(ciggarette butts), also some of my belonging that i did not want to have to replace.

however the garage that is storing my car say the engine is noisey, i hoping coil packs, they were able to move it.

Jon,

Leave it to Mark and his crew to sort it out, they know what they are doing. The engine can take lots of high rpm. I know, lots of ring laps at between 6-7k rpm and mine is still fine. Maybe just something has worked loose. Hope it turns out fine.

Well spotted, Howard! The meaning is all in the eye (or mind) of the beholder...
Glad your cars been found and should be sorted OK by Insurance' date=' I am a Lutonion, originally from Leagrave although have moved away now, back in late 70's I was always getting my cars nicked or broken into in Luton, until I saw the light and bought Skoda's. I had a mint 1600E Cortina nicked new years eve , police found it in St Albans it had been used in a chemist raid in St Albans - Police asked if they could fingerprint it _ I said yes and it was the worst thing I could have done interior was wrecked and not cleaned - Never again !!!

I too fell in to this trap with the police. Though my car wasn't stolen it was touched my some blokes after beaten the living sh**e out of this bloke. In there excape they tried to car-jax me though being a smart **** and living in London I always have my doors locked! Well anyway to cut a long story short I said yes, had to go without a car for a whole day and for this great deed I get a cracked bumper with I had to sort out myself! NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Will I help the police again...........doubt it!
