my beloved octavia rs stolen

Featured Replies

woke up this morning to find my lovely black octavia rs stolen. They forced a window took keys. It seems like the only purpose of the break in was to take it. They left behind the missis fabia. if this has taught me one thing, sleep with your keys. my reg is OY02MXU for any one who may see it.

yours totally gutted

i live in luton, it was first registered to Rolls royce motor co in crewe, think it was a co car. They didn't have what i wanted at forward motors so they sourced it from skoda uk.

This is getting very worrying, my heart goes out to you.

May have to get a much lesser car.......maybe even as low as a 4x4 (or is that as high as a 4x4). :D

At least a 4X4 can be rebadged to disguise its pedigree, whereas the vRS's bib and spoiler would still give the game away if you did the same thing. And aren't you being a touch insensitive, Des!? :nono:

Well, I have posted over on scoobynet with a link to this thread.

Sorry to hear about this mate. I can only imagine how you must be feeling. As Manny has said too, very worrying as it's getting extremely close to us now. Hope you get things sorted as soon as. I too shall keep a look out for you.

Have just found out about this site while posting details on another club forum. May be worth putting your details up here mate.

Stolen-uk forums

jon,

that's terrible news. goddamn thieving scum.

Ah Jon I'm really gutted for ya mate.

Sounds like a good idea to take your keys with you to bed but do you really want scum bursting into your bedroom endangering you + your misses' life for a car?

Were the police sympathetic towards you?

still waiting for soco to turn up, they were ok on phone.

Jonathon,

Had the same experience last September - woke up with no car in the drive and discovered a forced window and both sets of keys missing for the Octy vRS, the cheeky ******s had even taken the house keys off the car keys.

Ours was found unharmed four weeks later but by then we had a brand new one sat on the drive.

They're just ****ing female sexual organs.

i feel very sorry for you mate it is very worring that they actually break into our homes now just to take a car. hope all turns out ok

Woah that's bad news mate. I hope the thieving scum come a cropper at some point because scum like that aren't worthy of breathing.

From one Jonathan to another, GUTTED!!! I used to live in Luton, and had my old Pug 405 nicked. It was found abandoned after a chase later the same day in Marsh Farm. If you can find a few mates for protection(!), you could trawl round in the Fab looking for it. The Coppers told me that at least 60-70% of nicked cars ended up there...... I am still local, so will keep an eye out for you mate.

Gutted for you mate

My keys are on the stairs (out of view of the letterbox)

If someones prepared to break in to my house to take a car, I'd rather they just took it - you dont know what kind of drugged up/armed scum you could have at the end of your bed demanding keys :thumbdwn:

Sorry to hear about your car Jonathan, I really can't believe the lengths theives will go to now to take a car. Why wreck the locks when you can just break into the house and take the keys? Bl**dy awful :(

Hope things work out.

Yep, I always hide the keys basically because I don't want the cars nicked. My whole downsatirs is alarmed at night so if the want to break in they have to get upstairs without tripping all the alarms which I think would be tough! Much easier nowadays to take the keys- easier to sell on and steal with all the fancy immobilesers

..

I hide all my keys, plus car is garaged that is not instantly visible from the road. However, if anyone decides they feel the need to enter my property I have a very nice Staffy waiting to shake them by the leg...very hard and painfully.

NB...when she goes she goes, and although she is a Bull breed, around the house I remove her collar deliberately so as any uninvited persons

cant hold her off, which has worked in the past very successfully.

 really really sorry to hear that Jon

My keys live in the bedroom and my housemates heavily modded Saxo on the drive is always likely to attract attention before mine.
