Just being inquisitive really as i've just got mine fitted on the car last night..... I've tried it on jumper settings 4 thro 7 and found that for my car the best output seems to come from jumper link 5. Just seemed to give that little extra power than the other positions and definately seemed smoother through the rev range.

So yeah, which jumper position are people running on???

Cheers

Dave.

Many moons ago when I had one fitted to my Octavia I had it on about 4 or 5, less than that and it didn't make much difference and on max setting it smoked like no tomorrow but it didn't half shift!.

On setting 5 it was a match for my bosses old Audi A6 2.7TDI (cicra 180BHP, take into account weight etc) because he couldn't get away from me on the A5 :rofl:

And I wont even mention the top end on the M6 Toll road................:P

:confused: i thought there were more settings than that

mines got 16 different permutations , but is currently in the standard position it came with , which is 11

i also have mine set to 11 but i havent played with it yet ;)

i'll wait untill i get my full miltek fitted first :thumbup:

Depends on the model of box, some have 7, some have loads and some have a screw to adjust the spicyness (mainly the CR units).

The very latest boxes self calibrate when connected to the engine and have this selection:

1 = -30% (Rubbish)

2 = -20%

3 = -10%

4 = Standard (power & economy)

5 = +10%

6 = +20%

7 = +30% (POWERRRRRRRRR)

They've come on a pace since I had one :)

Sorry to sound ignorant, but whats a Dragon box?

Just go for 7 and stop being a 'wuss' ;):rofl:

Mine was running on max - why would you want anything less? ;) The latest boxes come with a MAP on a USB stick which is either tailored to economy or performance or "performance and economy" so really the jumper settings shouldn't make that much difference. If they do, that would suggest the MAPs aren't really tuned at all!

Chris

6, but with a PD160 intake in an attempt to control the soot :o

(New filter going in in a few days too, which should help...! ;) )

I moved it up to jumper 7 whilst on my night shift on Sunday night / Monday morning and went for a couple of drives around Doncaster at around 3am to give it a test......... It's stayed on jumper 7 now!!!!! :D:D:D I've already got the PD160 intake and Green filter so their isn't too much extra clag coming out the back to be honest.

The mrs is out in my car now and is going to report back on what she thinks of it before getting one for the other car.

Sooooooooooooo............... I voted originally as option 5 but now am running as option 7. :thumbup:

Cheers

Dave.

I take it all back Dave.

Ps. Does the Mrs want an AmD Tuning module??

(Much less smoke):thumbdwn: ;):D

I am playing with settings at the moment so far i have tried setting 11 and 14. Small amounts of smoke when booting it at setting 14. Particularly in 6th gear.

Think i will turn it down to 12/13 and leave it for a while and see what happens.

I have had both the 16 setting and 7 setting dragon boxes and so far hte older 16 is much better. No pause at all at 1800-2000K like the 7 pin suffered badly

Matt

with regards to the 16 setting box, is it exactly the same as the 7pin but has 16 jumpers inside rather than 7?

is the dreaded "stutter" of the 7 pin gone then matt? the one at around 1800rpm that we talked about?

Well i have been running this box for about a week or so and its very different to the delivery that i had on the previous 7 pin box i had.

in fact the the person who bought my 7 pin box off me is now selling it on ebay at the moment. £170 (buy it now price).

It seems to be much more progressive with the torque coming in at 2500 and being held till 4K. I really thought that the box wasnt working to start with because the pause just wasnt there. Its strange because this box seems much more drivable in 'normal' driving conditions.

Looking around it seems dragon could have gone bust...

eBay shop empty

last feedback was negative

online shop not working

either that or they are undergoing a major overhaul

I put mine back on today as the car was feeling sluggish lol

It seems a fair bit quicker now, but unfortunatly the small stutter still exists.

Could someone tell me what the LED's should be doing?

My red LED is never lit, the green is constant when the engine is off, and it flashes when it is on

the one ebay is apparantly a 16 pin version?

Dragon Performance tuning system for Skoda Fabia VRS on eBay, also Chips, Performance Tuning Parts, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 23-Jul-08 18:52:13 BST)

Maybe it is then but i thought the 16 pin boxes were different to that one. Def the person i sold my box to and it even has the cable tie i put on the box next to the fuse still there.????

Joel

Where are said LED's on your box?? I will have a look and see if mine has them first and if i do what they are doing!!

Matt

One Green and One Red to the left of the jumpers

:)

Joel

Had a look at the LED today, When the box is connected the green light is lit and when the engine is on the green light stayed lit!!! it didnt flash like yours??

Not sure what this means though???

Matt

Does your red LED ever light?
