Škoda UK - Current ?koda Octavia offers

Glad you posted that link mate. I was actually looking at the skoda UK site a few days ago to see if the offer was still on (for a mate of mine) and I was unable to find any such offer.

It seems they have started it up again ( or I need new glasses ! ).

Regards,

Bob.

;)

shame they didnt carry over the free level upgrade for the rest of the range too :(

TWENTY GRAND FOR A SKODA !!!!!!!!!!

Not even a DSG option!

I can get a Focus ST for FAR less than that!!!!!

And from 08 i can one WITH DSG!

Too much, too late

Mike

Unusual for you to be ranting about DSG Mike.

Enjoy your Focus.

Not a diesel one you can't, I don't think they produce a Focus STD. The focus is also a lot smaller than the Octavia.

Yeah, and there are plenty of reasons why they're cheap.

I had a 55 reg Mondeo ST-TDCI and the Skoda Octavia Vrs Tdi is a far better motor . I paid just under £19k for the Skoda , when i had the Mondeo i paid £22k for a far lower spec car .

I have always liked my fords but now i am a Skoda fan through & through

I think you need to have a chat with one of my mates........... As the word SKODA strikes fear into him

Bit of a marketing blunder if you ask me naming a car after a g3nital problem - 'STD'. Bit like Subaru with their 'STI's' !!

You will get a car that is granted quicker and probably better handling. The downsides are actually having to step into the world of the Ford dealer and horrific depreciation. The Octavia may well be £2k more with all the right kit on it but compared to what you'd lose on the Ford I think its worth it.

Free servicing with the low rate PCP too!

The Focus ST depreciates at about the same rate as an Octy vRS

I actually got much better service at my local Ford dealers than my local Skoda dealers :thumbdwn: So it makes little difference what Skoda offer if their dealers aren't up to the task. :(

Oh and the noise the ST makes!:D:cool:

My mum's Focus blew windscreen wiper fuses at a frightening rate. The Ford dealer's response was "just carry a box of spare fuses". I'd never buy a Ford.

Some good some Bad, but Skoda seem to forget they are a "BUDGET" car!...........Now they want VW money...............and won't build a vRS with DSG!

Their choice, but i won't buy Skoda at near Audi prices!

Oh, look here comes Kia:-

"Near Audi prices"?

What nonsense. List price for an equivalent A3 or A4 is 6 grand more.

i had a vrs octavia for five years and i'm now on my second one.

we also have a fiesta st150 and i can't believe anyone would want to buy a ford,

it is without doubt the biggest pile i have owned:thumbdwn:

who's to say there won't be a dsg vrs in the not too distant future...................

er even on drive the deal the focus PETROL is over a grand more expensive

they dont list a diesel verison.............;)

Surely you'd have to pile on the options to get a VRS to twenty grand?

Surely you'd have to pile on the options to get a VRS to twenty grand?

hes talking about the amount in the advert AFTER the interest has been added (something like 19,600) before the interest its 18k

Ah.

you COULD drive a Ford ST for 'far' less. but then you'd be driving a ford. :\

The ST is basically a volvo T5 but a bit cheaper and less impressive.

If you are going to defend Ford's colours, at least use the RS as your best card.

As to the DSG? Did you actually try driving a ST with DSG? Right then

Skoda VERY over priced now, no DSG option either which is pure nonsense from them. If they want to play silly, fine..........Ford IS coming with Power shift!
