Welcome Marty, sorry to hear about the accident. On the plus side, no humans were hurt and you'll get your car back. I hope your insurance premium doesn't get too deer.

If as has been suggested there were warning signs up, obviously your late deer couldn't read - didn't have a deer education.

Here in Ireland we have step back protection on some insurance policies, so in the event of a claim you just go back one step rather loose all your NCB; some companies sell insurance on your NCB, so you can insure your insurance, so to speak. In the event of a claim it makes it less deer on you.

Like you I have (touch wood) 9+ years NCB and dread to think what would happen to the premium in the event of a claim.

Marty - as I said it's ages and ages since I claimed so am not totally 'au fait'.

If you go to some of the Car Insurance sites they might explain better - but it should be the way I said.

Perhaps Google for 'loss of no claims' / 'no claims discounts' etc............

Yeah will definetly try that. Thanks mate:thumbup:

Marty - in general - there is sooooo much info you can get from Google (and Wikipedia).

Best of luck with insurance etc - remember not to kill me tomorrow if I'm wrong (don't think I am - surprised no one else has been on to chip in and help with this aspect).

Hope it doesn't cost you too many 'bucks' ;)

P.S. One of the 4 happened on the A720 Edinburgh City Bypass

You won't lose all 9 years but they will probably take 2-3 years back?

Have you got it protected?
