Hi, Chief, welcome.

Shame about the accident.

2 doors though, why ?

You should've listened to the Mrs when she said, "Be careful out, it looks like rain-deer!"

HA, there are no such animals there in Scotland. They're all here in Finland. Met several of them in BIG flocks, just like sheep in "Heartbeat" tv series....

I need 2 new doors because when i hit the deer it swing the body round & ratteled the doors.

it happened on a road between cupar & pitscottie.

the most anoying thing about all this is that i didnt have protected no claims.

9 years down the feckin drain!

Usually they only knock you back two or three years' worth - if I remember correctly (luckily ages and ages since I had a bump).

i.e. if you were at 65% No Claims then you'll probably get knocked back to 40% (say).

Sorry to hear this mate, but welcome to the forum and here's to a speedy recovery for the car.

There seems to be a lot of deer accidents happening at the moment - you are the 4th i've heard of in the past 2 months.

Am going to see if there are any known accident black spots involving deer in the area where i had my accident. And if there is i might try and claim off the local council for not having any deer warning signs. Anything is worth a stab in the dark at the moment. Espesially when i might loose 9 yrs no claims.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!

Even you feckers with the deer jokes!:finger::thumbup:

Marty - as I said it's ages and ages since I claimed so am not totally 'au fait'.

If you go to some of the Car Insurance sites they might explain better - but it should be the way I said.

Perhaps Google for 'loss of no claims' / 'no claims discounts' etc............
