Totally hilarious. Was driving home from work and heard a rumbling behind the car - the rear spoiler took wings (no pun intended) and came flying off. Guess the downforce turned into up-force!

Had to cross three lanes of crazy midday traffic to retrieve it. (I always wonder if this car will kill me, but it nearly did today:rofl:)

I had noticed the spoiler was loose about 5-6 months ago and took it to the dealers to repair it. And they did.

Guess what they used to fix the spoiler on?.......

A hot melt glue-gun!

I've called their GM and have been assurred that the matter will be resolved to my satisfaction.....

Oh well......

Their mechanic had a look and says that it's a silicone adhesive - but I could swear it's hot-melt glue.

New spoiler has been ordered by them at their expense as the old one is spoilt....

Glad that the RAV4 it bounced off at 70mph didn't stick around to discuss Skoda build quality with me, rofl....

Looks kinda neat without the rear spoiler I think.......

Mine's held on with black polyurethane based adhesive. It's going nowhere.

are they not screwed down then???

Your man at the garage who 'stuck it on with silicone adhesive' is 'winging it' i fear. Silicone is not an adhesive, it is a sealant, and should be used to prevent water from penetrating thin joints (fabia doors for example). Yes its sticky, but long term adhesive qualities, no. Get it put on properly is my advice, until then keep an eye on your rear view mirror.

Think she looks cute from the rear without the spoiler... Hope this doesnt grow on me, replacement in the works.....

I picked up my VRS today off a guy on here. Just realised now when I've arrived home that the spoiler is missing lol. If I can clean it up I won't think I will bother 'sticking' another one on.

Otherwise delighted with the car, I'd be lying if I said this didn't **** me off though.

Thanks for the thread revival.. a Spoiler-less black vRS is something I've wanted to see for a while (no, seriously).. Cuz it's something I thought about doing..

What I'd really like is impossible though... I'd love to remove the little mound that's on all Fabia's and make it smooth but the mound is part of the boot pressing and completely not removable.

Oh, and incase you do decide ya want one.. here...

Genuine and new in box on eBay.
