Cheers, shall do! :o

There are some "buy it now" on ebay, dont know how good they are compared to Bosch but they are reasonably cheap.

Do a search on Ebay for Fabia and I am sure you will spot them in the listings

And do a further search on here to discover that these eBay cheapies are ****. I should know, I bought a pair :thumbdwn:!

I had some eBay cheapies too and they are pants. The blade and materials are probably OK, it's the mountings which constantly come loose allowing the wiper to judder extremely badly. Popped them on the black one when I sold it and got some Bosch ones for my current Furby, they have a much more substantial mounting mechanism and so far are very good.

Aero Wipers give you no benefit over standard wipers except they look better (And that is a matter of opinion)

Get some PIAA's instead. You will never want a car without them again ;)

Bosch Aerotwins are superb!

Got them from WIPERBLADES.CO.UK for circa £24 delivered.

Care to enlighten me what that means? :)

Thanks for all the replies people!

Yep.

PIAA make silicon wiper blades. They are pricey (About £50 a set) but they will last far longer than an ordinary set (Like about 3 times as long) and every wipe coats the screen in silicon making it like you have permanent Rain-X/Aquapel. The clarity and overall boost in visability is amazing. In the night especially it can rain as hard as it like and you don't even need to turn the wipers on, the water just rolls off.

They will fit straight on and the set I had on my Fabia were brilliant. I am gutted that now I have aero wipers on my Roomster and I can't get PIAA's to fit because frankly the aeros are dissapointing after the PIAA's.

Cool cheers, might have to invest!

Just ordered some Aero flat blades from wiperblades.co.uk - will let you know my thoughts!

Jon :)

Wipers arrived - great service from wiperblades .co.uk - easy to fit and they work very, very well, a real improvement!

Thanks for letting me know about these :)

Thought you'd be pleased.

What we need now is a flat type replacement blade for the rear. I don't fancy the Golf/Polo variant - too puny looking. Search as I might there doesn't seem to be a source.

Ming, I'm with you there - was thinking EXACTLY the same thing today whilst fitting.

Our Octy II has an aero flat rear wiper and it's rubbish. Maybe other ones are better, but ours fails to clear much of the water, leaves streaks and judders. I would prefer a normal wiper if that's the best Skoda can do. The aero fronts on the Octy though are fine.

Go here WIPERBLADES.CO.UK : The UK's Premier Online Store.

Just fitted mine this fine Sunday morning. Just need the rain now.... but in no rush as the sun is nice.

Cheers

Yeah got them from there.

You should head up to scotland, 4 days solid it has rained this week, stayed off today though.

I bought some from there just over a week ago and, I have to say that the difference is amazing.

Before, I had patches that the (month old) traditional-style blades would miss, an annoying squeak from the passenger side blade on intermittent sometimes and, where the drivers side blade swept around, a wet arc that would drive me half-way around the twist.

Now, I have no missed bits, no noise and a perfectly clean and dry screen.

£26.30 very well spent I think.

Fantastic!

How do these aero wipers compare to the original ones at high speeds (over 100mph)?

I imagine the original ones are better due to the big spoiler on them?

Just use a bit of rain-x on the window and there will be no need to use wipers at that speed! :)
