I think they have, looking at the last few posts, TRAX 2008 at Silverstone is the time and place that will see the Fabias take on all comers. Maybe we can persuade a CTR owner to join in the fun?

Not enough track time. Plus the long straights would make it to easy for the big powers cars to blast by.

I have to say Trax is a bit chavvy.... and not worth the trip for the limited track time.

I didnt really rate it last year tbh. We do definately need a Brisky track day. Shame they changed angelsey :( Would have sorted the torqueless CTR's out

well a standard fabia keeps with a civic type r, a remapped one beats a imprezza WRX and sti so i imagine a big turbo higher power one must be as quick as an evo FQ400/lambo's and nearly keep with an enzo, but thats in my humble opinion of course

not wishing to sound cocky or over confident Gary but Jason in his fabia wasn't any issue 2 years ago and you lot are going to be running the same setup and power(sort of) as he was then and i *should* be running in the region of 100bhp more by trax so your fabia shouldn't really be a match but Dave's car is the one that could do it, he has far more promise than you two

either way it'll be great fun and we can all sit around afterwards having a burger and a can of coke chatting about and talking about how fast/slow the other cars were

The ring is gonna be awesome,and we should as a club get out on more trackdays,blyton is on the 29th 40 quid,yet for all the banter we all have,there are only a couple of us going,lets all get together and have a proper blast,open pit lane no limit track blast,it is the only way to back up that talk;)

i really really want to do more track time but sadly money and time have stopped my car going back together yet and will do for a little while yet but once its back together i'm well up for track meets

Back to the first post. Thought I would do some research this evening in my hybrid turbo Fabia so I can answer this question for you.

This evening, my car has been proved comparable to a Vauxhall Monaro VXR 500 supercharged, driven by my friend - a pilot. Off the line, both had traction issues due to the weather, but after that, with some dual carriageway, roundabouts, and long long straights where 120 (kmh) was reached, there was literally NOTHING in it whatsoever.

Flame me, dont believe me, I dont actually care tbh.....It's an honest answer to a legitamate question.

The other car of interest I lived with was an Evo 9 FQ 320, decatted, so say what - 340 - 350 bhp?

Utterly annhialated me off the line, and I should hope so too, but on the roll, nothing in it at all.

No one more suprised than me this evening I can tell you!

Must add, my car contains nothing other than 2 lightwieght front seats, dash, and spare wheel. Everything else has been removed, so my power to wieght ratio is drastically different to a fully trimmed car.
