I've just been hunting through the photos of the first (2006) bbq meet in Bury to show Katie the pics of the five yellow Fabia vRSs.

It reminded me that I hadn't seen bryand on here for a long time, and I said we ought to try to get hold of him and tell him about this meet.

I pulled up his member page, and was amazed to see he is online now and viewing this thread - what a coincidence!

So Bryan - if you are still reading this by the time I've finished typing it would be great to see you in Keswick. Would send a PM but yours doesn't seem to be working.

He drives a Volvo now and has probably retired, so why should he bother with us commoners....

It would be nice to see him again though.

I believe Bryan still drifts about in here from time to time, but he in with the Volvo crowd rather than us lot these days.

at the moment yes.... he says he wants more prior notice if we get up to 25 cars.... so up to 25 cars is deffo safe......

we're up to 20 cars so far really looking forward to it now.....

I camped once when 12. A guide camp. Yes pitching the tent will be fun. I can see it crashing down in the night.:rofl: But we may me good campers. Not sure how these morden tents work as we used old opens. Will be interesting.

Still to buy a tent yet, but swmbo's sister has camping gear so we might just borrow that to get a feel for camping and save some cash lol.

Dunno if we be up on the friday night yet or just the sat/sun it all depends when i get my holiday requests accepted at work.

and it is fun...... even if you haven't camped before! (as long as it doesn't rain! lol.... its currently sunny and 26 celcius up here at the moment! going out BBQ after the GP

and those pop up tents are cool! nearly bought one for our HC... but she has her own room in our new huge tent now

and rememeber, it doesn't really matter how many tents you wanna bring, as you are being chrged per person, not per tent

I know Mrs Grupmy said she was going to clear the garage, but how much stuff has she found in there?

Just to confirm I have now managed to get the friday off so should be down in the lakes about 5 or 6pm depending what time SWMBO finishes work at.
