Hi, Fancy a Fabia VRS

Featured Replies

Yep, I fancy one of these babies.

Anyone fancy selling me theirs. Failing that, cos I guess you lot are prob too attatched, do you know anyone who would sell one to a careful lady driver

Pleeeease.

Otherwise I will have to buy brand new, and that will mean I will have to live on beans on toast for a while to save up

Yours hopefully, Amanda.

:)

Hi Amanda , have we met before ?, although it is your first post , I feel as if I know you already .....must be your style of writing , seems vaguely familiar ;) .

Anyway I'm afraid I can't help you , as I drive a "real" vRS , but I'm sure some of the Furby owners will be along shortly .

Hi Mellow,

Ha ha, thought you looked strangely familiar. We may have met before, your name seems familiar. If its you, then I have moved up your way a few months back.

And if its really "you" then I'd best see this real vrs. Or better still I had best have a sunday drive out in it with you.

PS, I hope someone takes pity on me before tom. afternoon, else I will already have bought a brand spanking sparkling new one.

PS How will I ever find out its you you or someone else

Mellow

"have a sunday drive with you?"

looks like you've pulled

Hi Amanda :wavey:

As for you being a careful driver of course you are dear.

The guy who posts on here as Mellow, is a different one to the one you are thinking of, although I did speak to Chris on Tuesday. He's given up trackdays  and is now taking his son round the country as his son has started karting. :D

Passed your bike test yet? And how is "scooter boy"? :D

Pete, Amanda is a real person. I've known her for a couple of years. She is the very nice lady I was going to co-drive for in the BTRDA rallies last year, until her car was stolen :( Several other people on here have met her as she came to the Ring with me last September.

I'm sure there was a thread on here about buying them cheaply new, it just depends on the spec you want.

I'm also sure there was a dealer up your way, Liverpool I think that was offering to beat any price. Assume you are over in Wooly Back land now rather than over in Sheffield.

So, any NW members know of a Fabia RS at a sensible price or a dealer who'll do a good deal? Come on, help my lovely friend out.

Hi Amanda.

I am also looking out for a Fabia Vrs, however I am looking for a damaged repairer as

my budget is VERY tight, however did see this one on Autotrader website with 2000 miles for 9995 which I thought might be of interest.

http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www/cars_search.asp?modelexact=1&lid=search_used_cars_full&make=SKODA&model=FABIA&variant=vrs&keywords=&min_pr=75&max_pr=&mileage=&agerange=&postcode=DL1+3DJ&miles=40&max_records=50&source=0&sort=3&ukcarsearch_full=SEARCH

Hope this link works

Good Luck

Mike

Welcome, Amanda. Jon has a clearly documented 'thing' about Amandas on Briskoda - but I suspect you have now cottoned on to that fact. I will admit to carrying out a discreet check to see if you shared an IP with our other Amanda and, in the process, discovered that you share one with 50 of our members! Good luck with your search for a Vrs. If the experience and outlook of other owners here is anything to go by, owning one will knock years off your age and turn you into a rollerskating teenager.

as opposed to a 4x4 estate? which does the exact opposite: adds years, pipe and slippers.

I don't smoke nor do I own any slippers - which knocks that theory for six. :finger:

Humblest apologies Amanda .................I thought you were someone else and you thought I was someone else :o

All the best in finding a vRS ..................BTW the Sunday drive still sounds good to me  .............but SWMBO doesn't think it's such a good idea

Good to hear you today Amanda :) (I was one of the three fabia owners next to Jon during the phonecall ;) )

And All the very best in finding a furby.

Yep, good luck with your vRS search. The deal you were on about today does sound like a good one.

Hmm yes. Was it 2 grand off a new one with 3000 miles on the clock?

Or was it just pre-regged (0 miles). I seem to remember the latter, but don't know why the 3000 mile fabby rings a bell.

TBH, they're so popular and in short supply at the moment that haggling a couple of hundred off the price 'cos it's pre-regged is deffo worth it.

And if it has xenons, even better ;)

Nice to get some advice from some of you yesterday through Jon. Hope your handling day was good fun.

Hi all :)

Thanks for kind replies, (hey Jon, you sweetie! ) Thought about one in auto trader, but got a good deal from nearby dealer, so I'm now sorted!

Nice to sort of talk to some of you via Jon on Sat. Damn those speakerphones are un-nerving when you realise that everyone is listening  Hope you enjoyed the handling day.

Glad that evrything cleared up with you Mellow now!

PS, I didn't know Jon had a thing about Amandas, doesn't suprise me tho, haha, I will have to quiz him about that next time we speak. :)

There is a second hand Fabia vRS for sale over here in Northern Ireland for

6k? Thats incredibly cheap.

It has some damage to both doors on one side.

Hi Ian,

Yes, its me. Ah, fond memories of driving round Wales and strange camp sites. Oh, and Michelle acting as loony as ever

Hope you are well.

Can't complain... finally considering the "other side" huh?? :)

Where abouts in NW are you? What happened to the scoob?

Scoob sold

Rally car purchased

Rally car nicked and written off

Some funny Proton thing with rivet on bodykit ( ;) ) bought

Proper car being considered :D

IIRC, she's now in Manchester area

Proper car being considered :D

:D

NEWSFLASH: SHOCK HORROR, Octy owner admits that Fabia vRS is actually a proper car and not a annoyingly fast and competitive rollerskate
