New member with White Octavia VRS on the way

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,

2 weeks ago, I ordered a loaded white Octavia VRS diesel; chopped in my 4 month old Discovery SE. Am I mad? You tell me. I'm due to collect her this coming Thursday.

This is my second Skoda, I had an Estelle 20 years ago which I owned for 24 hours. I took it back cos the battery set the back seats on fire!

I've now been re-converted as my wife is now on her second Fabia VRS, a yellow missile with full leather kicking out 170 brake!

Going back to mine, I'm not quite sure what to expect. I ordered white to stand out from the crowd and be different. Although the blue looks the business, the white is awesome. I've read another member's posting which basically says white isn't standard and that his was a hijacked order initially made by the old bill (good on yer mate!). Mine was ordered to be a demo for another dealer in the vicinity. It certainly wasn't for our friends in blue when you look at the spec. She's kitted out with 18" Zenith's, jumbo box with dual zone climate & rear electric windows, cruise, heated front seats, maxi dot computer, light assist, auto wipers, auto dimming mirror, rear parking sensors and the sunroof. If anyone can give me any ideas what to expect, I'd love to hear from you.

If you've got it in white, a lot of cleaning?

There are literally less than ten white UK cars that are known about on this forum, so it is a really rare colour.

Welcome by the way.

Welcome, re lots of cleaning..white cars don't require any more cleaning than any other colour. Black is the colour that requires most attention.

There is a nice white Vrs estate at a dealer near me,it looks great.

Welcome :D

welcome along to the site.

Hello and welcome. I would have quite happily of had a white one. I love the TDi, mainly because I like the way the power is delivered, and it doesn't even notice the weight when it's loaded up. Be wary of the DPF, needs regenerating regulary if you do a lot of town driving. Enjoy.

Welcome mate. Post some pics up sooooonnn :D

You may want it even more after she's covered 4,000 miles when I intend to give her to Angel Tuning to wave their magic wand over. Hopefully she'll become a 225 brake 300lb/ft raging Subaru basher.

Thanks for the welcome, hope to get some pictures on line for the weekned

Welcome to the site from another newbie mate, and another chap waiting for his white vRS 170 too! I knew they were rare but didn't realise they were as rare as people on this thread have said, mine hasn't got as many extras as yours, just the standard upgrade pack and MaxiDot, and at the minute all I'm waiting on is selling my Impreza. So PLEASE don't post any pics up of your car, because its hard enough waiting for the Occy as it is!!!:D

Thanks mate and welcome to you too. Good on yer for going white; when I ordered mine, there were two others available so I guess you got one of them unless you got a factory order? Anyway, major gutted! I got the call tuesday that mine would be ready today; she's ready all right but they can't tax her cos I haven't had my retention certificate for my number plate back from dvla yet. What a bummer! They processed it yesterday so I now have to wait up to 10 days for the certificate to come through. I did go see her and took some pics though. All I can say is "awesome"! You will not be disappointed when you get yours, oh no. Post some pics when you get it

It might possibly have been one of the other two available then, I didn't order it from the factory anyway! I must say the picture in your avatar does look cracking mate, still to this date never seen a white one in the flesh!! Any chance you could stick up a bigger picture on here for me to have a perv at? With a bit of luck next friday should be the day!
