  1. Well, I positively know that, ex works in Europe, this was supplied with pink G12. Any replacement G12 or G12+ will still be pink or orange. And any ethylene glycol coolant I've ever seen (multiple makes up to 1995 CE) was blue or green. Also, if it may help, I think I can read (certainly I have listening comprehension) of Jamaican Patois. Actually, it may help if you'll say which nation you're from since "Caribbean" covers English, French and Spanish speaking islands.
  2. Green (or blue) is almost invariably ethylene glycol. OAT is almost invariably pink or orange. The only way you can safely change from one to the other is to drain the old one, flush engine, radiator and heater until the flushing water runs completely clear, then let them dry, then flush the system again.
  3. Ooohhkaaay! What colour was the coolant in the engine when you first bought the car, before you started this swaparama, and after each swap?
  4. So she's not actually qualified in vehicle mechanics then (based on her CV).
  5. And yet totally different because all VAG 1.9D engines are designed and engineered to use OAT coolant. OAT had not even been invented when the RR Phantom 3 wend out of production, and you should only ever ethylene glycol in an RR Phantom engine. As the saying goes "get a clue"! Your quoted RR forum poster needs one too.
  6. Cost - no idea. Better alternative - Well, it must cost and weigh something. So leaving it off will cost and weigh less.
  7. As a serious mod to @TMB suggestion, my Dad and I used to Hammerite the sills right up to the door shuts, sometimes more than once.
  8. You think Halfrauds actually employ monkeys!!
  9. NO!!! These kits are complete male bovine faeces!!
  10. How do you tell a CRA is lying to you? You can hear their voice.
  11. I got a bunch of complete cases and parts from a Google using "Skoda Yeti 1.8TSI 4x4 - transfer case" as a search subject. As I'm in the UK, the most useful part of this for you is the suggestion that you do the same.
  12. 1 litre minimum to do the base change; I'd also want another 250ml bottle (separate container) to top up and do a bleed.
  13. Yes. I think your issues are nothing to do with it though:- Windows - As @Pete_Ex-Wino says, they're much more likely to be a broken wire in the door bellows. Check these wires with a multimeter, not a mk1 eyeball. Seat belt - No promises, but try cleaning the driver's belt catch, and check the wires to it with a multimeter.
  14. If you have a statement of N lbft, then angle tighten theta degrees, that is always more correct than someone else's value of M lbft (where M > N).
  15. I'm going to side with everyone else who're saying "coincidence"; this is not an issue caused by fresh G12(+) coolant. BTW, whilst the Goodyear pictures state "no ethylene glycol", they also do not state OAT or G12(+(+)) standard.
  16. You asked "What do you get for GB£16?" Alternatively, 6 men's tee-shirts from ASDA.
  17. I'm afraid your diagnosis is correct. 😞
  18. 2 bottles of decent wine.
  19. I'd go for Toyos (like @Golf-Fiend ), but don't know a dealer in or near Lanark.
  20. You tell us. The size information is helpfully moulded onto the tyre sidewalls (and wheel size stamped or cast onto the wheels). Where do you work? (town/city) I may be able to recommend a supplier near there but don't know anyone in Lanark.
  21. G30 is glycol based so yes. Do not put it in an engine with an OAT coolant (eg G13).
  22. Well, there's one fitted as standard in the existing airbox, which will flow all the air you need.
  23. Not really an issue; the main function of the undertray on a a diesel of this vintage was to reduce drive-by noise for the type certification. As the car is now registered you don't actually need one.
  24. True this; I can regularly see these sorts of figures on an old Octy 1.
  25. You got a Sub and a Like out of this. No comments because YouTube won't let me leave comments though 😞 . One question; Why is there no "Skoda lane" marking on the Revitt Straight?
