  1. Well, IMO (and E) there is no real point in replacing a steel sump plug, and a crush washer doesn't need replaced every oil drain.
  2. Sadly, Lane enforce needs to be canceled every time you start the car.
  3. Is there a plastic cable tray around where the sound seems to be coming from?
  4. I don't think the cat's been nicked, but those pipes you photographed should join together.
  5. As @chimaera says; also 40_000 miles is the recommendation for a transmission oil change in all ZF Transmission gearboxes, irrespective of the make and model of car they're fitted to.
  6. That's exactly what I mean; if they're trying to condemn tyres based on age and not wear or condition, what other stories are they making up?
  7. I think we may have a winner for the actual fault here.
  8. It's worse when you suffer an unexpected arms failure, but the engine is still propelling the car.
  9. I think you need a different garage.
  10. OP's last visit was ~2.5 years ago.
  11. Go to Erwin, sign up for an hour, and download all the Fabia manuals from there.
  12. Not with that centre bore.
  13. I'd start by self-inspecting the tyres for any signs of uneven tread depth, particularly if the sound seems to come from one corner (start there).
  14. I know that Gaz Shocks do this, but you'd need to contact them for a turnaround and cost.
  15. Well, as I say, I'd change the sensor before the pickup, because it's a way faster and cheaper job. Given the mileage, if the sensor or pickup don't sort it, my 3rd thought would be to change the oil pump. If you have to go that length, get a standard one or one that's described as "high flow"; high pressure pumps are a waste of money (because they cost more) and power (because they're driven by the engine).
  16. I wouldn't try this with any Pompe Duse engine. Some people will say it'll be ok, but others have killed HP pumps and injectors this way.
  17. Yes; as per my last a bad battery (which happens surprisingly quickly/soon on a car this sort of age, especially with Stop/Start systems) can cause all sorts of reported systems errors.
  18. I agree about the thermostat; I'd expect that to read ~90C after 10km. The oil pressure sensor is possible, and easier and cheaper than the oil pickup in the sump. What sort of mileage is the car on, and how long since the last oil change?
  19. If you have a standard VAG wheel, the full side specification will be cast or stamped into the wheel.
  20. Likely clue to your rear brake issues.
  21. NO! Well, not if you don't fit automatic self levelling and headlight washers anyway.
  22. I think it works, but you will need to use 15" minimum, and preferably 16", wheels.
  23. "Error - Stop Start system" makes me wonder about the battery, particularly given that you say in your information that the car is 4 years old.
